Windscreen technician Tom Barker has won a prestigious nationals skills award for his expertise in fitting replacement windscreens.
Tom, who works at the Auto Windscreens centre in Rochester, beat off competition from technicians all over the country to reach this year’s final of the Clearly the Best Awards, held yesterday, Thursday November 11, at Auto Windscreens head office in Chesterfield.
Congratulating Tom, Auto Windscreens’ managing director James MacBeth, said: “We’re rightly proud of our world-class technicians, and this is our way of rewarding the best of the best.”
Tom, 39, who has been with Auto Windscreens for 15 years, was judged on customer service, health and safety, day to day procedures and processes and high quality of workmanship as well as his technical skills, to win the award.
