NFU Mutual Wins Which? Magazine Award

It’s always nice to win awards, so hats off to NFU Mutual, who have been named the Which? Insurance Brand of the Year for a record third consecutive year. Here’s the word;

NFU Mutual was named as the top insurance brand by the Consumer Champion in a ceremony in London on Monday, 20 May. The leading rural insurer, which is also the only company to be a Which? Recommended Provider for both car and home insurance, beat off competition from LV= and health insurer WPA to win the prestigious award. In recognition of its exceptional levels of service, NFU Mutual was also shortlisted for the inaugural Which? Customer Service Brand of the Year award – the only financial services company to be shortlisted. 

The Brand of the Year awards are each based on a rigorous set of criteria reviewed by a panel of judges, with performance in Which? testing, brand reliability, analysis of provider data, customer satisfaction surveys and the results of Which? investigations all taken into account.

Rachel Kelsall, Customer Services Director at NFU Mutual, accepted the award on behalf of the business, and was joined by representatives from across NFU Mutual. Rachel commented:

No insurer has ever achieved this, and it is a testament to NFU Mutual’s constant focus on providing the best possible service for its customers, particularly at the point of claim where our support is most needed. 

“As a mutual, we operate for our members rather than shareholders, and so we measure our success on how we deliver for our customers. Making an insurance claim can be stressful and often follows a traumatic event, and we’re proud to put customers at ease and support them during difficult times. 

“Our employees and our network of agencies in communities across the country care about their customers and are experts in their field, meaning they can take an active role in supporting them in times of need and standing up for issues they care about. It is this dedication which enables us to deliver on our aims and promises to customers, so I’d like to sincerely thank all our employees and those working in NFU Mutual’s agency network.”
