The Green Insurer has won a carbon neutral award;
The Green Insurer, which is focused on helping drivers reduce carbon emissions and drive in a more environmentally friendly way, announces today that it has achieved Carbon Neutral certification through a collaboration with Carbon Neutral Britain. The milestone marks a significant step in The Green Insurer’s mission to operate sustainably while helping UK drivers reduce their carbon footprint.
The certification follows a thorough analysis conducted by Carbon Neutral Britain, which measured The Green Insurer’s entire greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across all areas of its operations, including home working, business travel and inbound deliveries over the course of a year. All emissions were identified using the ISO 14064 and GHG Emissions Protocol Standards.
Paul Baxter, CEO, The Green Insurer, commented: “Reaching Carbon Neutral status through offsetting our carbon emissions has been a key goal since setting up our business. The Green Insurer’s proposition from the start has been to incentivise customers to drive in a more eco-friendly way and reduce their carbon footprint. The carbon objectives we have for our customers – to avoid, minimise and offset carbon emissions – are the same as for our own business operations.
“By working with Carbon Neutral Britain to identify accurately our total carbon emissions, we have been able to reverse our environmental impact by offsetting these through a selection of internationally certified carbon offsetting projects.”
