SCOR
SCOR are pleased to announce the appointment of Henry Mummé-Young as Chief Underwriting Officer, SCOR UK, and Active Underwriter for SCOR Syndicate 2015, subject to regulatory approval. Henry will report to Chris Beazley, CEO of SCOR UK & SCOR Syndicate. He replaces Marie Biggas, who has been promoted to the role of CUO SCOR Business Solutions & FAC.
Henry joined SCOR in 2014 as a Senior Underwriter within Political & Credit Risks as part of SCOR Syndicate 2015 (then called Channel Syndicate 2015), and in 2021 was appointed Global Line Head for Political & Credit Risks across both Syndicate and Company Markets. Prior to joining SCOR, Henry worked at both ACE and Liberty in an underwriting capacity.
Henry is a Chartered Insurer of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He has both an MSc in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of London, and a BA in Ancient, Medieval & Modern History from the University of Durham.
ARCH

Arch Insurance International has today announced the promotion of Mike Bottle to Managing Director of Arch Insurance UK Regional Division, with immediate effect.
In this role, Bottle is responsible for leading Arch’s network of UK regional offices as well as continuing to oversee the strategy and distribution for the division. He will work closely with Stuart Danskin, Director of Underwriting and Vicky Rowlay, National Director, Business Transformation to deliver on the growth plans for the business. Bottle reports to Kirsten Valder, Deputy CEO of Arch Insurance International.
Most recently, Bottle was Senior Vice President, Strategy and Distribution for the UK Regional Division, having joined Arch in 2019. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Axiom Underwriting Agency Limited.
This appointment follows the retirement of Steve Bashford as Chief Executive of the UK Regional Division.
WOODGATE AND CLARK
Woodgate & Clark, one of the U.K.’s leading loss adjusters, has appointed highly skilled claims professional, Mike Higgins as its new Operations Director. Higgins replaces Graeme Fitzpatrick who has retired, following 12 years with Woodgate & Clark.
Bringing close to three decades experience in insurance and claims management, Higgins joins Woodgate & Clark from Crawford where he was Head of Construction.
Higgins started his insurance claims career with a large composite insurer before moving into loss adjusting in 2002 when he joined GAB Robins as a liability adjuster. Here he progressed to Director of Operations for Property. After 8 years with the business and a brief period in a niche liability practice, Higgins took up the role of London Market Director in the Construction Team at Crawford in 2015. He then progressed into a number of leadership roles spanning Real Estate and Field Operations. Higgins also spearheaded a field team development programme at the business.

Crawford is pleased to announce that Jordan Hall has been promoted the role of global data protection officer (DPO) for Crawford & Company, effective 1 January 2025. David Parker, who has served Crawford for over 38 years, most recently as privacy director & group data protection officer, will be retiring in February 2025.

Charles Taylor announces the promotion of Cesar Augusto de Aragao Alves to Head of Brazil

Auto Windscreens has appointed Mima Rybanska to a newly-created role, Head of Strategic Partnerships. With 10 years’ experience in the automotive industry, she joins the business from WhoCanFixMyCar and is a former Supercar Instructor for Everyman Racing.
Mima will be ‘taking the wheel’ of Auto Windscreens’ new service, Auto Calibrate, which is designed to support garages and body shops with a remote solution for diagnostics and programming, as well as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) calibrations.
Mima launched the AA Approved Garage Network while with The AA, and has also worked for Comline Auto Parts. She said: “I’m very excited about joining Auto Windscreens, and the welcome I’ve already received shows what a great company it is. I’m looking forward to making a difference in the industry and embarking on my latest ‘journey’, to launch Auto Calibrate”.

Following a year supporting its 3000 partners providing instalment finance to almost 3 million customers, Premium Credit is strengthening its proposition with a series of strategic new hires to improve the customer and partner experience, and help facilitate new business growth through existing and new initiatives. As part of this ambition, Premium Credit is pleased to announce that Steve Lavery has joined the business as Customer & Partner Experience Director.
Steve is a highly experienced Customer Experience/Journey and Operations Director with a proven track record of leading large-scale customer service functions within FTSE Top 10 to mid-size businesses. His expertise spans both regulated and non-regulated environments with a strong focus on the telecom (EE and Vodafone) and financial services/automotive sectors.

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has announced Simon Pemberton as the new global head of corporate claims in its Claims Management and Adjusting (CMA) business.
Simon brings with him more than 30 years of experience within the insurance claims management sector and includes roles at Sun Alliance International, Zurich Municipal, and Gallagher Bassett International Limited, where he held various senior leadership positions. Most recently, Simon served as the UK chief executive officer at Gallagher Bassett, where he led the UK executive team and was a key member of the international executive and global strategy team.

Africa Specialty Risks (ASR), the Africa and Middle East focused (re)insurance group, announces the appointments of Genevieve Ahinful and Suzan Pardesi as Deputy Active Underwriters of Syndicate 2454.
Genevieve is Head of Political Risk and Trade Credit (PRTC), having joined ASR in 2020 with over 20 years’ experience. She began her insurance career at Euler Hermes in 2001, before progressing through a series of underwriting and broking roles at Aon, HCC, Gallaghers, Equinox and African Trade & Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI).
Suzan is ASR’s Head of Energy, having joined the company in November 2020. A qualified chemical engineer, with over 24 years’ experience in the industry, she has held roles including Risk Engineer at XL Global Services, Senior Underwriter at XL Insurance, Engineering Risk Consultant at Arup, and Senior Energy Underwriter at Lloyd’s syndicate Navigators.
Both will support Martin Boreham, Active Underwriter, and continue the growth and expansion of Syndicate 2454, which was launched in April 2024.

Cogent Hire has appointed Darren Entwistle as Business Development Director, to lead on existing and new business growth, reporting to Managing Director Kirsty McKno. The appointment is effective immediately.
Darren brings over two decades of experience in the credit hire industry, having held senior roles in both sales and the supply chain for prominent organisations in the sector, including EDAM Group and Accident Exchange. His wealth of experience and industry expertise marks a significant milestone in Cogent Hire’s ambitious plans for growth and expansion in the coming year.
