Allianz Partners Adds Features to Its Summit Plan

The latest product news from Allianz Partners;

Allianz Partners has announced a new suite of benefits and enhancements to its Summit plan range, designed to meet the evolving healthcare needs of today’s diverse and global workforce.

The Summit plan range is Allianz Partners’ modular international health insurance solution for small to mid-sized businesses, covering three to one hundred employees. With tiered, globally consistent yet flexible benefits and regional solutions, it enables companies to care for employees across life stages, locations and healthcare needs.

Effective from 1st August 2025, these changes respond to increasing demand for benefits that reflect the full spectrum of healthcare. Employers are prioritising more meaningful healthcare coverage – and Summit plans are evolving to meet this shift.

Changes to the Summit Plan range include:

Support for weight management
A new optional benefit for bariatric surgery will be available on Summit 4000 and Summit 5000 plans. This provides cover for medically necessary weight-loss procedures, including related assessments, consultations, and treatment of post-operative complications – supporting better long-term outcomes for employees managing obesity-related conditions.

Expanded coverage for cognitive developmental delay
A new outpatient benefit for developmental delay will be introduced on Summit 5000. It includes cover for conditions such as dyslexia, delayed speech and learning difficulties, with access to psychiatry, psychotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. This supports employees and their families with comprehensive resources to address cognitive and learning challenges.

Holistic recovery support
An optional outpatient benefit for prescribed vitamins, minerals and supplements will be added to Summit 2500, 4000, and 5000. When recommended as part of a treatment plan by a medical practitioner, this coverage helps support recovery and symptom management, furthering a whole-person approach to care.

Improved women’s health coverage
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) will now be covered in full under Summit 4000 and 5000 in all regions. This enhancement includes full cover for medical practitioner and specialist fees as well as prescription drug costs related to the management of symptoms from menopause or surgical ovarian removal.

Faster access to fertility treatment
The waiting period for fertility treatment – previously 18 months – has been reduced to 12 months on underwritten Summit 5000 plans. This change offers quicker access to diagnostic services and IVF treatment for members diagnosed with infertility, helping support timely family planning.

On launching the new range of benefits, Mariana Ishchuk, Global Head of Product Management & Innovation, Health at Allianz Partners said:

“The recent enhancements to Summit underscore our commitment to inclusivity and holistic employee health, offering significant advantages to our customers. By expanding coverage to include weight management and cognitive developmental support, we are addressing diverse healthcare needs that reflect the real lives of employees. These updates provide comprehensive resources for managing obesity-related conditions and cognitive challenges, ensuring that employees and their families receive the support they need. Additionally, improvements in women’s health coverage, such as full coverage for hormone replacement therapy, and faster access to fertility treatments, demonstrate our dedication to supporting employees across different life stages and health requirements. These inclusive and flexible solutions not only enhance the value of our offerings but also align with the evolving priorities of employers and employees, fostering a healthier and more supportive work environment.
