MRH Trowe Announces Latest Acquisitions

The word from MRH Trowe as it strengthens its position in Germany;

MRH Trowe has acquired four further brokerage companies with a focus on commercial and industrial clients and a focus on the real estate segment. The brokerage and consulting firm, which recently expanded its Finance and Benefits & Pensions segments in particular, is thus continuing its growth course.

“Our strategic focus in the insurance segment for commercial and industrial customers over the past 18 months or so has been on consolidation and integration. At the same time, we have expanded the Benefits & Pensions and Finance segments with major acquisitions and are now one of the key players in the market there as well,” says Ralph Rockel, CEO of MRH Trowe. “With the current acquisitions, we are underpinning our ambition to continue growing organically and inorganically in the insurance sector as well.”

With the acquisitions of vVs-wrzeciono Versicherungsmakler GmbH in Mülheim an der Ruhr and EURASS GmbH in Oberhausen, MRH Trowe is strengthening its regional presence in western Germany. Both companies have long-standing relationships with owner-managed medium-sized companies and bring well-founded market access as well as established customer structures. The integration will enable customers to use the expanded range of services in the areas of Finance and Benefits & Pensions in the future.

At the same time, MRH Trowe is growing in the federal states of Saxony and Thuringia: Schmalenberg GmbH in Grimma near Leipzig and Eggebrecht GmbH in Mühlhausen (Thuringia) are expanding the portfolio, especially in the real estate sector. Both banks bring special know-how in the real estate industry, project development and construction. Together with existing locations of CR Assekuranz Makler GmbH in Suhl and Müller & Partner GmbH in Floh-Seligenthal, they expand the presence in the region and form a high-performance competence cluster for real estate clients.

The expansion of the Finance business area most recently included the acquisitions of Hansekontor, Danneberg and FM LeasingPartner. With the acquisition of Heubeck AG, MRH Trowe completed its range of services and pensions, which also includes the Lurse brand. In this way, MRH Trowe creates a balanced range of products and services for all customers from a single source.

“The new teams in Mülheim, Oberhausen, Mühlhausen and Grimma show how we combine strength in the region with specialized offers and thus implement our 360-degree approach,” says Michael Hirz, CEO of MRH Trowe. “With the teams of Schmalenberg and Eggebrecht, we are also expanding our real estate segment, which is one of our most important specialty areas. Together, we can offer our customers an even broader range of solutions – from claims platforms to leasing models and guarantee solutions.”

With the new colleagues, the MRH Trowe team will grow by around 40 employees. MRH Trowe will take over 100 percent of the shares in each case. The existing management teams will remain on board. Details of the transactions were not disclosed.
