WOODGATE AND CLARK

In response to a growing appetite for liability claims expertise, Woodgate & Clark, the loss adjusting and claims management business, has announced the appointment of Gary Eaton as Technical Director – Third Party Property Damage (TPPD).

Bringing extensive industry experience and a recognised profile in insurance and liability markets, Eaton will lead the technical delivery and strategic development of Woodgate & Clark’s specialist TPPD proposition, supporting both clients and internal teams in complex liability claims. Eaton will also play a pivotal role in mentoring technical staff, developing best-in-class practices.

ALPS

Alps, a leading MGA specialising in insurance add-on policies, legal expenses, and claims solutions for intermediaries, has announced that it has promoted Martin Green to Head of Business Development.

Martin joined Alps in May 2024 as Compliance Officer. Based on his success, technical capabilities, and strong business development and broker relationship skills, Martin was quickly appointed as Sales Manager just 10 months later.  His new role as Head of Business Development reflects his outstanding ability to build strong partnerships with brokers based on mutual success and the delivery of outstanding products and service.

Now part of the senior leadership team, Martin’s input will be invaluable in delivering the next stage of Alps’s ambitions, as it seeks to accelerate growth by bringing together great people, great technology, and an unwavering dedication to its philosophy to ‘always do the right thing’.

MAXIS GBN

MAXIS Global Benefits Network (MAXIS GBN) has appointed Jayesh Patel as Chief Business Development Officer, subject to regulatory checks. Jayesh will join MAXIS GBN on 5 May 2026 and sit on the Executive Committee (ExCom) and report to CEO, Mattieu Rouot. In his new role, Jayesh will oversee MAXIS GBN’s global Business Development (BD) team, with responsibility for developing and implementing its global BD strategy.
Jayesh will join MAXIS GBN from Allianz Commercial, where he has been Global Head of Multinational Market Practice since 2022, with responsibility for growing its multinational portfolio and market strategy globally. Prior to this he held a number of senior roles at Allianz Global Benefits – having worked with the company for nearly 20 years – including Regional Director for the UK & Ireland and Global Head of Tender & Risk Management. He is a qualified associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and holds an honours degree in Economics from the University of Surrey.
COMPRE

Compre Group Holdings Limited (“Compre”), the Bermuda-domiciled international specialty reinsurance group, today announces the appointment of David Atkins to the newly created role of Deputy CEO, subject to regulatory approval. Reporting to Group CEO Will Bridger, he will be based in London and is due to start on 1 July.

Atkins joins Compre from Premia, where he has served as chief operating officer for the past five years, with responsibility for operational delivery, integration and organisational effectiveness. Prior to Premia, he spent 17 years at Enstar, holding a number of senior leadership positions across operations, strategy and execution during a period of significant growth and evolution for the business.

LIBERTY

Liberty, part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jimmy Tong as Chief Executive Officer Singapore, effective 27 April 2026, subject to regulatory approval. Based in Singapore, Tong will report to Matthew Jackson, President of Asia Pacific.

Liberty Mutual has historically operated two distinct businesses in Singapore – Liberty Insurance and Liberty Specialty Markets. These businesses were unified under a single insurance license on 1 January 2026.

Tong is well known to Singapore’s insurance and business community, and will lead Liberty’s unified Singapore business, a top 3 general insurer located at One Raffles Quay. Tong is a seasoned Singapore executive, spending the past 10 years leading and overseeing Great Eastern’s General and Group Insurance for Singapore, and the prior 15 years in leadership roles at UOB.

CANOPIUS

Canopius Group, a leading global specialty and P&C (re)insurer, has announced the appointment of Adrian Phipps to the role of Chief People Officer (CPO), leading the business’ people strategy, with a focus on talent development, culture, and supporting the company’s continued growth.

Adrian will report to Group Chief Executive Officer Neil Robertson. He will succeed long-standing Chief HR Officer Barbara Turner, who will retire later this year after more than a decade with the organisation. Adrian will join Canopius in June 2026.

Adrian is an accomplished people and HR leader whose career spans senior roles across major organisations. He most recently served as Chief People Officer at luxury travel deals company Secret Escapes, supporting the business through a period of significant period of growth and change, while developing a strong people function. Previously, he held significant leadership positions including People Director at broadcast technology firm Arqiva, and HR Director for UK Personal Insurance at RSA.

MARSH RISK

Marsh Risk, a business of Marsh (NYSE: MRSH) and the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, recently announced that James Crask has been appointed to the newly created role of Global Supply Chain Practice Leader. 

In this role, Mr. Crask is responsible for combining Marsh Risk’s existing supply chain insurance and risk consulting expertise and leveraging advanced analytics and cutting-edge technologies, including Marsh’s AI-powered supply chain mapping platform Sentrisk, to deliver the insights, advice, and solutions clients need to build resilience in their global supply chains.

Based in London, Mr. Crask has more than 20 years of experience in providing risk management, resilience, and strategic advisory services across public and private sectors. He joined Marsh Risk in 2018 and has served in various business resilience leadership roles before being named Global Head of Multinational Clients, Risk Consulting, in 2024.

HUB INTERNATIONAL

 Hub International Limited (HUB), a leading global insurance brokerage and financial services firm, announces the appointment of Sue Lee as Senior Vice President of Investor Relations. In this newly created role, she will serve as the primary liaison between HUB’s executive leadership and the investment community, driving HUB’s investor relations strategy and communications. Lee will report to Joe Hyde, HUB’s Chief Financial Officer.

KEOGHS

Keoghs, the legal solutions arm of Davies, has announced the appointment of a team of counter fraud experts from Clyde & Co, expanding their capabilities in the firm’s new Midlands Hub.

As part of the firm’s continued service expansion in the Midlands, two well-known leaders have joined:

Sarah Hill will lead the team and joins as Partner, bringing with her 25 years of experience working in the insurance fraud field. Having led the Clyde & Co fraud department nationally, she is a recognised industry leader in the field, with her specific areas of expertise including all aspects of fraud such as large-scale organised fraud, high-value exaggerated fraud claims and complex fraud litigation.

Ben FitzHugh joins as Head of Intelligence, after leading intelligence teams at both BLM and Clyde & Co. He has over 20 years of experience working within the intelligence sector, including roles within law enforcement and the legal industry.

Hill and Fitzhugh are joined by a talented group of legal and intelligence experts. The team, who all joined from Clyde & Co, is made up of highly experienced counter-fraud specialists who work across the legal and intelligence services.

INSURAWAVE

Insurwave, a leader in AI-driven exposure management for specialty insurance, announces the appointment of Deepak Saigal as Chief Delivery Officer. Deepak joins Insurwave at a critical phase of growth, as the company continues to scale its platform and sharpen its focus across distinct product lines.

Deepak brings more than 20 years of experience in the specialty insurance market, with a proven track record of leading the build and delivery of core policy, exposure, and risk platforms for many of the largest insurers, reinsurers, and brokers across the London market and the United States. He has also played a pivotal role in delivering the platform foundations that enabled the creation and successful scaling of multiple MGAs across the UK and EEA.

WTW

WTW (NASDAQ: WTW), a global advisory, broking and solutions company, has announced the appointment of Chris Varley as Global Proposition Leader for Commercial Lines Pricing and Underwriting within the company’s Insurance Consulting and Technology business.

Varley rejoins WTW from Allianz Commercial UK, where he held the role of Chief Data and Analytics Officer from March 2022, and most recently as Chief Underwriting Officer.

Prior to this, Varley held the position of Senior Director for Commercial Lines Pricing and Underwriting for five years at WTW, specialising in the development of analytics tools for the commercial insurance market.

In his new role, Varley will be based in London and lead Commercial Lines Pricing and Underwriting strategy globally for the Insurance Consulting and Technology business, helping insurers to modernise and thrive in this evolving market. This is a strategic area globally for WTW in which the Insurance Consulting and Technology business is targeting sustained double-digit growth, supporting the transformation of the commercial insurance marketplace.
