The strategic partnership between Talanx AG and Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company (Meiji Yasuda) expired by mutual agreement on 31 December 2025. Based on the economic conditions agreed in December 2024, Talanx exercised its purchase options on the shares held by Meiji Yasuda in the Polish subsidiaries Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń i Reasekuracji Warta S.A. (Warta) (24.3%) and Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Europa S.A. (TU Europa) (50.0% minus one share) held by Meiji Yasuda and paid the purchase price in exchange for the transfer of the shares on 16 February 2026. Due to the specific accounting rules for the recognition of the contractually agreed option rights, the proportionate earnings of the minority interests now acquired have been fully recognised in the earnings of the Retail International division since 1 January 2025.
