Aspect MGA Gets The Green Light as Lloyd’s Coverholder

The word from Aspect as they get the green light;

Specialist MGA Aspect has been approved as a Lloyd’s Europe coverholder for trading and offering services in Europe which enables further expansion into international markets under the Lloyd’s framework.

This latest development puts Aspect in an even stronger position for 2026, following the last 12 months, which has seen broadening of its product range, a number of new senior hires into the team and 52% growth year-on-year in H2 2025. Aspect is now ready to expand its lead product capabilities across Europe.

Being part of Lloyd’s global network of expert brokers and local underwriters supports Aspect’s ambition to become the high-hazard insurer of choice across Europe for mid-market businesses in difficult sectors ranging from recycling to distressed residential including combustible cladding and asylum seeker accommodation.

The announcement further positions Aspect as a one-stop shop for brokers handling complex, high-value risks both in the UK and Europe. Aspect delivers an innovative future-ready service including a dedicated team solely working on developing a number of tech solutions designed to make broker’s lives easier and streamline decision making.

Aspect has tailored its offering across a number of European countries by developing local infrastructure and translated materials for clients.

Oli Williamson, Co-Founder and Chief Underwriting Officer at Aspect, said:

“Following a robust year of growth in 2025, this exciting news reflects the market’s growing confidence in our offering and our approach to high-risk underwriting and delivery. Being part of Lloyd’s global network with our specialist expertise puts us in a highly competitive position and allows brokers to secure everything they need under one roof. We’re excited to see what the year ahead brings.”

Aspect will focus on the Netherlands and Ireland where it is already established and is expanding its business, as well as Scandinavia, Spain, Germany, France and Belgium. Aspect’s regulatory authorisation for trading in Europe is by the Bank of Greece.

Aspect’s ambitious growth plans and technically led approach to underwriting has quickly earned the business a reputation for bringing greater support and scale to an underserved segment of the market.
