IMS, the global telematics and connected insurance solutions provider, and Somerset Bridge Group today announce their collaboration on GoSkippy Connect, a new app-based telematics proposition designed to support smarter pricing, underwriting, and renewals through data-driven insight.
Using the IMS One App technologies, GoSkippy Connect will be available through price comparison websites and has been developed to reflect the needs of a broad personal lines customer base, including modern commuting patterns and a wide range of trip types, rather than focusing solely on the young driver segment typically associated with telematics products.
At the heart of the proposition is IMS’s Flexi Score model, tailored specifically for GoSkippy Connect, to create an innovative scoring approach suited to its customer base. The model recognises the realities of post-Covid driving, including longer, variable-time journeys, while maintaining robust sensitivity to key risk factors such as speeding and unsafe driving behaviours.
Somerset Bridge expects the proposition to scale and continually develop over time, with a planned rollout across tens of thousands of policies under GoSkippy Connect, supporting ongoing improvements in portfolio performance and customer experience.
