Expert witness specialists Laird have added Chloe Pearson from Jaguar Land Rover, and Peter Henderson, who joins Laird having worked in the legal sector. In addition Christine Baty has been internally promoted to the role of primary office contact.
Julie Page Appointed Deputy Chair at BIBA
The British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) has appointed Julie Page from Aon Risk as their Deputy Chair. Julie has been on the BIBA board for the last four years and replaces Tim Ryan from Ryan Insurance Group.
Kinsu Looking for Marketing Specialist
Start-up online insurer Kinsu, which supports rough sleepers via its profits, is on the look out for a marketing specialist to join their team. The PAYG insurance company’s USP is kinder, more convenient cover, bought via smartphone and with fewer questions and forms to fill in. Applications close on 7th April 2018.
Page Joins Bristol Based Locktons
James Page has joined Locktons brokers, based in Bristol. Page will be looking to expand Lockton’s client list in the legal and construction sectors.
CRL Opens Second Office in Scotland
Construction insurance specialist CRL has opened an office in Scotland, with Alan Kirkwood heading up the Glasgow operation. It’s part of a wider expansion by CRL. According to reports in the Scottish business press, CRL are looking to hire Account Execs at the new Glasgow office right now.
Hiscox Appoints Ben Walter as CEO Global Retail
Hiscox have appointed US CEO Ben Walter as head of Hiscox Europe, UK & Ireland, US and Special Risks division, as from July 1st 2018. Ben Walter will be looking at transforming and expanding Hiscox digital operations across 12 consumer markets. Hiscox is also looking to recruit a UK and Ireland Chief Exec in the Autumn.
Brokerslink Appoints Jacqueline Legrand as CEO
Brokerslink has moved Legrand from a COO position within the company to CEO, replacing Jose Manuel Fonseca. Brokerslink currently has around 100 clients worldwide and Legrand will be looking to develop international opportunities.
