Eviid (YRFree Technologies Ltd), a global InsurTech company based in London and Liverpool, is expanding its team and geographical footprint following a highly successful final quarter in 2017.
Six new hires into its developer and support teams across January and February 2018 follow hot on the heels of the opening of a sales office on the continent (in Lelystad in the Netherlands).
Since August 2017, the company, inventors of a unique evidential technology for digitally recorded media, has won 11 new clients and major projects, mainly from the UK insurance and property sectors, but also in the US, New Zealand and Australia, for its secure and tamper-evident smartphone video technology.
The software allows insurers and claims management companies to use live and recorded smartphone video in their claims processes – to connect with workers in the field or assist customers in submitting video evidence.
John Ridd, CEO of eviid, explains: “We’re in the business of changing how organisations work, so when we started, it took to convince major companies to embrace our technology. However, we seem to have reached a point where many of our customers are already familiar with the idea of using video for areas like job reports, documentation, remote worker support and customer service. They’re actively looking for a solution.
“In eviid, they’re finding technology that is proven to work in corporate environments, with all their data protection, security and integration challenges. They’re also getting something they won’t find anywhere else: the ability to record video in evidential quality, meaning they always know where and when footage was created and whether it has been tampered with.
“The insurance sector was among the early adopters of our technology and over the past few months, demand has really taken off. We were delighted to receive some additional funding from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund in August, which allowed us to scale up rapidly. We already have a couple of international clients but now will accelerate our growth in Europe from our new office in the Netherlands. We’ve hired three new people already and are set for 2018 as our year of lift-off.”
