Carrie Trudeau has been hired by Lloyd’s managing agent AEGIS London to manage claims notified by its Canadian coverholders.
Based in Toronto, Carrie will focus on strengthening relationships with London market brokers while supporting AEGIS London’s coverholders writing property and other lines of business in Canada.
She will work with and eventually replace Spencer Shusterman who has chosen to retire from his position as SVP Claims at the end of this year having established a market leading claims service in Canada after 7 years with AEGIS London.
Carrie joins from Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc, where she was Director of Lloyd’s and Dedicated Units.
Clive Nathan Joins GRP
GRP have announced the appointment of Clive Nathan, as new CEO of the Group’s MGA division. He will join the business in April.
Clive will succeed Stephen Ross, who has overseen the rapid growth of the MGA business to its current £100m+ GWP. Stephen, COO of GRP, will concentrate on the Group’s M&A activity as GRP expands its UK footprint in both broking and underwriting.
Peter Cullum, chairman of GRP, said: “Clive brings a wealth of experience to the rapidly growing MGA division following his executive roles at both Towergate and Primary Group.”
Dorothy Kwok Heads Up Guernsey Commission in Hong Kong
The promotional agency for the Channel Island’s finance industry opened an office in Hong Kong at the end of 2016, linking up with the regulator, the Guernsey Financial Services Commission. The presence in Hong Kong has supported the development of the agency’s ongoing work in China, which began more than 10 years ago.
“We have been aiming to increase awareness of Guernsey as an option for the full range of financial services,” said Kate Clouston, Deputy Chief Executive at Guernsey Finance, who is a regular visitor to Asia.
“Our presence in Hong Kong has given us more visibility to the Hong Kong network of intermediaries and has better informed them about the opportunity to work with Guernsey service providers.
