AEGIS Appoints Two New Board Members

Lloyd’s managing agency AEGIS London has appointed two new non-executive directors to its board.

Gregory E. Abel is Vice Chairman – Non-Insurance Business Operations, Berkshire Hathaway Inc and Executive Chairman, Berkshire Hathaway Energy.  Berkshire Hathaway and its subsidiaries engage in diverse business activities including insurance and reinsurance, utilities and energy, freight rail transportation, finance, manufacturing, services and retailing.

Thomas F. Farrell II is Chairman, President and Chief Executive officer of Virginia-based Dominion Energy. Dominion Energy is one of America’s largest producers and transporters of energy with over $75 billion of assets providing electric generation, transmission and distribution, as well as natural gas storage, transmission, distribution, and import/export services.

William Dalton, Chairman of AEGIS London, said: “Greg and Tom are both leading figures in the US energy sector and highly respected by their peers.  I welcome them to the board.”

Gregory Abel and Thomas Farrell took up their directorships with effect from 4 June 2018.
