AXA Partners has entered into a multi-million-pound, long term contract with ScottishPower, enabling the energy provider to deliver home emergency cover to their customers.
The deal, which sees the two companies join forces to provide plumbing, drains and electrical insurance, will allow ScottishPower customers to benefit from a 24/7 emergency response service, should these problems occur in their home.
This new partnership sees AXA Partners advancing into the utilities market, with thousands of ScottishPower customers expected to take advantage of the new services.
Only 18 per cent of home contents insurance policies include home emergency cover, such as plumbing, drainage and electrical issues, as standard. This new partnership ensures ScottishPower customers are covered through their utility provider.

Following the launch of AXA Partners last year, the utilities sector has become a key new market for the company to explore. As customers’ needs change, and the connected home and electric vehicles become commonplace in the UK, AXA Partners’ ambition is to expand further into the utilities market with additional partnerships, products and services.
