Nationwide Confirms Tie-Up With Legal & General on Life, Illness, Income etc

Nationwide Building Society are delighted to announce a five-year extension to its long-standing life partnership with Legal & General. Legal & General will continue to underwrite the Society’s Life, Critical Illness and Income Protection products, as well as any new protection products that L & G develop.

The Society has successfully partnered with Legal & General for its protection products for around 12 years and has more than 300,000 policies in place.

Paul Carvell, Head of General Insurance & Life Insurance Propositions, said: “We are delighted to continue to work in partnership with Legal & General to provide market-leading protection products to our members. Our members may have a range of concerns about the financial consequences and stresses for themselves and their family if they are ill, cannot work or die. It’s important to provide them with the opportunity to consider whether there is adequate insurance protection in place to cover them when the unexpected happens.”

Maggie Game, Director Banks & Building Societies, Legal & General Insurance said: “Our greatest successes are achieved through working in true partnership to combine technology, data, proposition and marketing and engage customers at the right time, with the right product, in the right way. This spirit of partnership flows through everything we do with Nationwide and the partnership continues to go from strength to strength.”
