FinTech Global has named ThingCo as one of the few British businesses that has made the INSURTECH100 2019. Founded by telematics pioneer, Mike Brockman, ThingCo launched in January 2018 to bring to market the next generation of telematics technology through Theo, the video enabled in-car companion.
Utilising a unique combination of HD camera, telematics, Intelligent Voice, road sensors and AI, Theo transforms any car into a connected car whilst providing the customer with full control over their data and support in a claim from the moment of impact. This will also offer customers the opportunity to shop for insurance based on their driving score.
ThingCo will also be rolling out Little Theo in the first quarter of 2020. This is a solar energy, self-fit, GPS and 4G enabled device with Voice, and will initially be targeted to motor insurers to offer as a powerful new proposition to their customers.
Each year a panel of industry experts selects 100 of the world’s most innovative InsurTech companies to make up the INSURTECH100. The list aims to help senior management and insurance professionals evaluate which digital insurance models have market potential and are most likely to succeed and have a lasting impact on the industry.
