Carole Nash Cancels Prescott Bike Festival Sponsorship

Long established motorcycle insurance specialist Carole Nash has withdrawn their sponsorship of the Blood Bike’s annual fund raiser, the Prescott Bike Festival, this year being held on the 18th / 19th July.

CN have supported the Festival since its inception in 2011 and cites commercial reasons for their decision, according to a press release from the organisers.

Carole Nash was for many years the flagship sponsor of the Motorcycle Live at the NEC, often investing over 200K in the event, but stepped back with Bikesure acting as headline sponsor in 2019. Although CN still support many grassroots motorcycle events and shows, they put money into a Kawasaki racing team in 2018 and have a raft of classic car shows to consider as well.

Festival Organiser, Gordon Downie, said, “It’s sad that CN have decided not to continue with their support. I understand commercial realities; however, the Festival goes beyond that. We’ve always enjoyed a good relationship with CN and it was distressing to receive notification of their decision by email and with just five months to the next event. The sums involved weren’t huge but extremely important to us, it leaves a large hole in our budget.”

Prescott Bike Festival has contributed over £215,000 to the Blood Bike charities since 2011 and is a popular event in the motorcycle calendar. The event is organised by the regional Blood Bike group, Severn Freewheelers.
