International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce that it has further expanded its presence in Scotland, following on from the arrival of a five partner-led team of complex and catastrophic injury specialists from BLM in November 2019.
The latest additions to the firm’s Glasgow office include partner Keith Mathews and associate Ed Radford, both of whom previously worked at DAC Beachcroft and are rejoining the firm from BLM.
Keith will lead DAC Beachcroft’s newly established litigation “unit” which will handle England & Wales motor litigation claims for some key clients.
“Many of our biggest insurer clients have a significant presence in Scotland and their own claims centres in Glasgow,” said Craig Dickson, CEO of DAC Beachcroft’s Claims Solutions Group. “By expanding our offering north of the border to include England & Wales litigation handling capabilities, we are able to meet the needs of our clients and offer them a more bespoke service, including better access to training opportunities, secondments and more – right on their doorstep in Scotland.”
Working alongside Keith and Ed, DAC Beachcroft’s litigation unit will be supported by a newly recruited team of six paralegals who specialise in England & Wales motor litigation.
“Keith and Ed previously worked in our motor fraud team, and we’re delighted to welcome them back,” added Craig Dickson. “Their arrival is a further demonstration of our determination to build our Claims Solutions business in Scotland and deliver the ‘everything, everywhere’ services our insurer and commercial clients are increasingly demanding.”
This latest development follows closely on from the arrivals in November 2019 of partners Louise Gallagher, Gillian Rushbury, Rachel Rough, Iain Buchanan and Jamie Varney from BLM. That team brought with it extensive experience of handling complex and high value injury claims, bolstering DAC Beachcroft’s Glasgow office and more than doubling its number of partners there.
Also in 2019, DAC Beachcroft joined forces with Northern Irish firm McKinty and Wright to launch an office in Belfast – a strategic move made in response to demand from clients, particularly those in the insurance sector.
