ITC Partners With InsTech on September Pitch Event

There is still a huge amount of money being put into new insurtech companies, which is no surprise as post-Covid-19 insurers realise that digital is the ONLY way ahead, people want chatbots, personalised risk/quotes based on multi-strand data, automated payouts on claims, less hassle, no MTA fees etc.

Insurance has to evolve and tech can help innovative companies rebrand and face the future. So here’s an event where your insurtech baby can pitch to investors;

InsTech London, today announces its partnership with InsureTech Connect (ITC), best known for its annual Las Vegas conference that last year attracted over 7,000 people from over 65 countries. This year, ITC is hosting an all-digital “September to Remember” featuring the ITC + DIA World Tour, a virtual journey across the globe showcasing insurtech innovation.

InsTech London will be the official ITC + DIA World Tour partner for the UK. UK based
start-ups can apply now to be one of five companies eligible to pitch at the event. The ITC + DIA World Tour will run from 1-18 September and will consist of 35 digital events hosted in different locations across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas. The three weeks of events will lead up to ITC Global on 21-23 September, a two and a half day, 24-hour a day immersive experience.

Matthew Grant, Partner of InsTech London, said: “We are delighted to partner with ITC + DIA and lead the UK part of the World Tour on 3 September. We will be selecting five start-ups that we believe are amongst the best representations of UK innovation, with solutions that are, or could be, applicable globally. InsurTech is increasingly global, and the UK sits strongly at the heart of it, with many leading innovators being based here, including from our rapidly growing corporate membership.”

Jay Weintraub, CEO and Co-Founder of InsureTech Connect, said: “We are very excited to have InsTech London as part of the World Tour. UK companies have always been innovators in insurance and that has not changed today. That spirit of early innovation is clearly in the DNA and continues to live on.”

InsTech London is taking submissions from companies that would like to be considered to be one of the five companies pitching at the ITC + DIA World Tour UK event. Start-ups will have to be less than five years since founding, have investment of less than $30mil and fewer than 100 employees. Applications close on the 21 August. Attendees will pick their favourite at the event on 3 September and the winner will go through to the finals at ITC Global on 21–23 September.
