CENTRAL NETWORKS

IT support provider and cloud solutions specialist Central Networks and Technologies (Central) has appointed Nicola Brown as sales director. The hire is intended to build upon the firm’s sustained growth as it has supported its clients’ business continuity throughout the COVID-19 pandemic by bolstering IT infrastructure.

Having amassed over 20 years’ experience selling IT solutions into the social housing sector, Nicola has held a range of senior sales roles including regional director at social housing software provider Housing Partners. Her responsibilities included new business development and managing strategic accounts across the North West.

Nicola is also a director of WISH (Women In Social Housing), a community interest company that champions women working within the sector, in addition to co-chairing the North West WISH network.

PRO GLOBAL

Global re/insurance outsourcing and consulting specialists Pro Global Holdings Limited (‘Pro’) today announces that Mike Mackenzie will join the company as Head of UK Specialty Claims at the start of 2021, Richard Lawson now becomes Head of Claims, and Chris Buer is appointed as Head of Marketing and External Communications.

ALLIANZ

Allianz Insurance has appointed Graham Stait to the position of head of claims operations.

In his new role, Graham will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Allianz’s claims operational strategy, leveraging enhanced people, data and digital capabilities to drive continuous improvement and positive customer outcomes.

In his most recent position as head of supply & experts, Graham was a member of the Claims Management Board and was responsible for overseeing transformational change across Allianz’s Motor Engineering and Claims Investigator functions. He has been responsible for developing a ‘fit-for-future’ motor damage strategy whilst embedding sustainability across Allianz’s supply chain.

Allianz’s chief claims officer, Graham Gibson said:

He has been an integral member of our Claims Management Board for the last two years and has a wealth of experience, having held some key leadership positions during his time at Allianz. SEDGWICK

Sedgwick, a leading global provider of technology-enabled risk, benefits and integrated business solutions, today announced the appointment of Jason Jones to the role of broker business development director in the UK.

Jones brings to Sedgwick a wealth of experience, with over 28 years in the insurance industry including loss adjusting, overseeing the broker market and expertise in technical property claims. He has proven leadership in providing clients with business support and key account management.

KIVU

Kivu is pleased to announce the appointment of Chad Holmes as their new Chief Executive Officer. Holmes will be succeeding Kim Niquette, who was at the helm of the company since its founding more than ten years ago. Niquette will maintain a non-executive advisory role for the foreseeable future.

Prior to joining Kivu, Holmes held leadership positions at various multinational corporations in consultancy and the cyber security industry. He has frontline experience working as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at large organizations as well as leading global teams on product development and service delivery.

Overall, Holmes has more than 22 years’ experience in the cyber security field across multiple industries. During this time, he has developed and led large cyber programs, transformation efforts, international teams and service lines. Prior roles include EVP, Chief Services & Operations Officer at Optiv, Managing Partner for the cyber practice at EY and Chief Technology and Intelligence Officer at FireEye.

Commenting on the new appointment, Kim Niquette, outgoing CEO, stated, “Chad not only brings a plethora of experience that Kivu can tap into, but has the ideal personality to boost Kivu’s strategy and enrich the cultural foundation that is central to that vision. DWS 

On January 1, 2021, Nestanlin Garcia will join DWS and take over the newly created position in the institutional coverage team as Head of Insurance & Banking Germany. The insurance sector is an important growth area for DWS.

“With the hiring of Nestanlin Garcia, we are strengthening our important home market with a highly experienced and well connected sales person in the German insurance industry. We support insurers, reinsurers & banks in complex capital market issues and are convinced that Garcia is the right person to successfully lead the German insurance coverage team and ensure further growth,” said Mark Fehlmann, Head of Insurance Coverage Europe at DWS. DWS intends to continue to strengthen its capabilities in insurance coverage in a very focused manner as the firm looks to further grow its insurance client base.

Garcia previously worked for BlackRock for four years, primarily covering German insurance companies. His main focus there was on making alternative asset classes investable for insurers in a Solvency II optimized fashion. Previously he was with Frankfurt Trust, Finacor and, until 2012, DWS. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the Friedrich-Wilhelms University of Bonn.
