This investment marks an important milestone for Europ Assistance in the development of its senior assistance business, a strategic priority for the Group. PROSeniors management will continue running company as part of Europ Assistance Group with the ambition to become a key player in the French senior care market.
The two companies share a strong culture centered on professionalism and caring for people that will be a key enabler to facilitate the connection and cooperation between PROSeniors and Europ Assistance teams.
Andrea Fiorani, Head of Personal Lines at Europ Assistance Group: “Our aging societies and the ongoing second wave of Covid-19 pandemics highlight the importance of providing a wide range of high-level care services to Seniors to help them live self-determined lives at home, and so support communities to implement well-balanced aging models adapted to local context. Remus Diaconescu, General Manager of PROSENIORS: “We are delighted to work with Europ Assistance to implement our assistance synergies to serve our common objective of helping seniors and the disable maintain their lives at home. This partnership will allow us to rely on the expertise, services and financial capacity of a large group in order to accelerate the growth and development of PROSENIORS for the benefit of our customers. We thank CITA INVESTISSEMENT for the trust they have placed in us, which has enabled us to double in size. We have been delighted to make this journey with them all these years”
This deal highlights how companies in the FNOL sector need to diversify as commuting is replaced by home working for millions of people. As politicians continue to bang the drum for the Climate Change Agenda, drivers will find themselves subjected to more restrictions on movement, more tolls, roadblocks and electric only zones over the next decade. The net result probably won’t be a reduction in the Earth’s temperature, but it will see millions of people essentially locked down within their immediate locality in the name of carbon emission reduction. Especially the elderly.
