The award-winning pet insurance provider Bought By Many Ltd has today announced the launch of its new brand name in Sweden: ‘ManyPets’.
The rebrand follows impressive growth for the insurance provider which launched into Sweden in 2019, following success in the UK. Since its launch into pet insurance in 2017, it now insures over 270,000 pets in the UK and Sweden and has been ranked No.1 and No.2 on the Konsumenternas league table of pet insurance policies. Its sales are up 150% over the past year, testament to its unique pet insurance policies and customer service offering.
The new name conveys the company’s focus on creating unique pet insurance policies that meet the needs of pet owners while delivering award-winning customer service and a competitive claims experience. The challenger brand offers to make pet insurance more accessible and convenient to pet owners than ever before. The rebrand is part of a wider strategy to become a universally recognisable pet insurance brand as it continues to expand internationally. The new name will appear on all of the insurance provider’s customer touch points in Sweden, including the company’s local advertising, website and social channels. The name will remain the same in the UK.
From Bought By Many to ManyPets
Bought By Many was founded in 2012 to help people whose insurance needs were not being met. The brand name reflected the original business offering, which initially launched to connect people to wider groups who were looking for specific insurance cover including travel, health and pet insurance. In 2017, Bought By Many pivoted to focus on pet insurance after finding that thousands of pet owners were being poorly served by incumbent insurers. Through its proprietary research, technology and continuous product improvement, Bought By Many created unique policies that answer core problems with existing pet insurance, such as offering insurance for pre-existing issues. It has built policies that truly serve pet owners while offering best-in-class customer service and support.

ManyPets has also announced the move of its Sweden arm and now operates directly through the branch ‘ManyPets Filial’ and will be directly authorised by the Swedish FSA. ManyPets is the first insurance provider to establish a third party branch in Sweden. The branch is registered on Finansinspektionen’s website and in the Swedish Companies Registration Office’s register of insurance intermediaries (Bolagsverket).

In May 2020, Bought By Many Ltd raised £78.4m from investors in a Series C funding round to continue its international expansion. The change to ManyPets and the new Swedish brand will not affect the insurance provider’s high-quality cover or prices.
