IE magazine caught up with Rich and Chris from Percayso-Inform as they made their way from Nottingham, across a fair chunk of England until the finishing line in Chester. It’s another stage in the epic Genasys Tech, Tour de Insurtech event, inspired by the most legendary cycling race of all time of course.
The route was packed with steep climbs, lots of leafy back lanes and a few busy A road sections as well. We met up near Middlewich in Cheshire, as the pair took the opportunity to have a rest and a quick chat. The 15mph headwind wasn’t making things any easier, plus the dynamic duo had run out of water since the lunch stop. For 2022, the Tour de Insurtech is deffo going to need a crew car with chilled water and essential energy bars on hand.
Rich is also riding another section from Chester to Stockport tomorrow, so it was no surprise to hear that the scheduled start time of 7.30am may well be er…delayed due to technical issues with sprockets, or something. Plus a Full English.
