AXA Partners UK & Ireland is continuing to grow its presence within the Travel Insurance market, via a new long-term deal with Eurotunnel Le Shuttle.
AXA Partners has been appointed to underwrite Travel Insurance policies that are purchased by customers with their Eurotunnel booking. The product will offer a number of cover enhancements, with AXA Partners handling all Travel Insurance claims and providing customers with medical assistance, if needed whilst abroad.
Long-term, both brands will be working closely together to grow Eurotunnel’s existing travel proposition, and AXA Partners will act as the driving force to help enhance the products already offered. The B2B insurance specialist will also be identifying other areas that the two market leaders could collaborate on, in order to provide additional benefit to customers in the future.
Speaking about the new partnership, Jason Wale, Sales Director at AXA Partners, UK & Ireland said: “We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Eurotunnel, and we are looking forward to helping them to strengthen their product offering and the value that is added during the customer journey.
“With a customer first ethos, AXA Partners prioritises the provision of quality products and exceptional customer service, and we are pleased that Eurotunnel share this mutual ambition. Our aligned values put us in a great position to help Eurotunnel grow throughout our new, long-term partnership and provide the best assistance possible to customers, when they need it.”
Deborah Merrens, Chief Commercial Officer at Eurotunnel, commented: “As a trusted and well-known insurer, we are pleased to be working in partnership with AXA Partners to provide Travel Insurance to our customers. Eurotunnel prides itself in offering the best travel experience possible. Therefore, it’s important that we are able to provide added-value through the peace of mind of quality insurance, and AXA Partners were able to deliver this. We very much look forward to working together in assisting our customers with this new travel proposition.”
