Insurtech 100: ThingCo Make It Four In a Row

Handy gadget to have on your side if the worst happens

Underlining the power of its solutions for the global motor insurance market, ThingCo, the insurtech delivering next generation telematics built on the latest technology has been named this week in the inaugural Insurtech 50 2021 for the UK, ranking number 11 and in the INSURTECH100 list for 2021.

It is the fourth year in a row ThingCo has made the INSURTECH100, however the past year has been pivotal for the business with close to 11 U.K. brokers and insurers now benefiting from ThingCo’s innovative telematics solutions using AI and Voice.

Nominations for the INSURTECH100 were open to companies across the globe that provide technical solutions to insurance companies. This year’s list was selected by a panel of industry experts and analysts who judged companies based on a range of criteria including the significance of the problem being solved; the insurtech’s growth; innovation of the technology solution; and potential cost savings.

The InsurTech 50 is a list of the UK’s most innovative insurance technology creators for 2021, compiled by BusinessCloud. The final ranking was decided by an independent judging panel and a public vote on a 73-strong shortlist.

Mike Brockman, CEO of ThingCo said: “ThingCo is one of just a handful of UK-based insurtechs who made the INSURTECH 100 list this year and I am incredibly proud of this recognition. Ranking 11th in the UK InsurTech 50 list provides further validation following a very challenging but rewarding year when we launched Theo, our low friction, low energy, cost efficient telematics device powered by AI and Voice to the insurance market. This endorsement proves ThingCo can play on a world stage and that is certainly our ambition in the year ahead.”
