Locket has just announced it will partner with comparison technology pioneers, Seopa Ltd, joining its financial comparison sites Quotezone.co.uk and CompareNI.com as a UK first for Locket’s home insurance. The prevention-first insurance provider empowers members to proactively protect their homes with smart tech, giving them a fairer price on insurance for doing so.
Locket was founded in August 2020, and raised one of the UK’s fastest crowdfunds, which closed at £1.8m in January 2021. It launched its first product in April 2021 to create insurance that is powered by consumers.
The insurtech is currently gearing up for a second crowdfunding campaign, which will launch soon.
Anwar Ahmed, Chief Insurance Officer from Locket comments: “We’re looking forward to launching on Quotezone and bringing our customer-centric insurance to its broad market. We know that for many people, the items they cherish the most can’t be insured. The picture of their baby’s first ultrasound photo, or the ticket stub from the gig where they met their partner. Those things may have huge emotional value, but very little financial value. So we help people to protect them first, and then pay out should the worst happen.”

Greg Wilson, Founder of Quotezone.co.uk and CompareNI.com, comments: “We are very excited to be the first comparison website in the UK to welcome Locket onto our home insurance panel. Locket is a very progressive business which approaches insurance from a consumer’s point of view, championing prevention to help lower premiums. It’s also impressive that Locket was created during the pandemic, reflecting homeowners’ desires for a competitive price and a digital solution.
“At Seopa, we were among the first to create the aggregator technology you see today across our comparison websites. Our vision has synergy with Locket, we want to give consumers the power to choose for themselves what they actually need in a policy and decide for themselves what’s a fair price – by being able to compare providers across the industry and across multiple product ranges.”
Locket also gives a portion of its revenue to charities tackling homelessness, clean water and mental health. The insurtech believes everyone should have a roof over their head, access to clean water and support with the psychological aftermath of burglaries such as depression, anxiety and PTSD.
Locket has also created guides offering top tips to help protect homes using smart devices.
