Telematics brand Carrot Insurance has gone live on CDL Strata to power the next phase of its expansion. The move follows a comprehensive review of the market to select a new platform to support its digital and data strategy moving forward.
Carrot MD Norrie Erwin said: “As a digitally focused insurance brand, having the right technology in place is key to our success, and we were clear that we were looking for a strategic partner, not just a software provider. We wanted a partner to work strategically alongside us to support us in achieving our ambitious growth targets as we look to diversify, grow and add new product streams and lines.”
High levels of automation, operational efficiency and sophisticated digital and data capabilities were amongst the benefits identified in moving to CDL’s insurance ecosystem.
“CDL’s capabilities aligned with our specific objectives and requirements, and their collaborative approach has ensured ongoing dialogue throughout the decision-making and implementation phases,” continues Erwin.
“There has been significant disruption in the marketplace in recent years, with a more highly regulated environment, the impact of the pandemic, the demand for greater digitisation and increased competitive pressures. Having the right software partner is critical to adapting effectively to this market context.”
CDL is a market leader of retail platforms in the telematics space, with highly automated processes for the end-to-end customer journey and existing integrations with the UK’s major telematics service providers.
Commenting on the new partnership, CDL chief executive Nigel Phillips said: “Carrot is well known in the industry for its innovation and forward-looking approach, and we are delighted to be supporting the brand in the next phase of its journey and with the high levels of collaboration between our teams.”
