AXA XL
AXA XL Insurance has today announced it has appointed Sarah White as Senior Underwriter, Professional Indemnity, UK & Lloyd’s, with immediate effect.
In her new role, Ms. White will be responsible for helping to deliver the strategic, profitable growth of AXA XL’s Professional Indemnity book of business in the UK and establishing and developing relationships with key brokers and clients, including large global professional service firms, such as accountants, architects, engineers and law firms.
Commenting on the appointment, Stuart Essex, Head of Professional Indemnity, UK & Lloyd’s market, said: “As the global economy continues to brace for the challenges of a recessionary environment, our clients are faced with increasing complexities around the services they provide.
ALLIANZ
Allianz Holdings has appointed Ashish Patel to the position of chief operating officer (COO) effective from July 2022.
In his new role, Ashish will have responsibility for overseeing operations and technology, including Allianz’s transformation programme which will deliver the best service and digital experience for customers. He will also join the Allianz Holdings Executive Committee.
Ashish has worked for the Allianz Group for nine years, having previously held the position of head of Allianz Technology India. Most recently he led the Global Delivery Network for Allianz Technology, where he was responsible for overseeing branches in India, Spain and Thailand. Prior to joining Allianz, Ashish had a lengthy career in the banking sector, including six years as director at Barclays Bank India.
FLETCHERS GROUP
Fletchers Group; one of the largest Medical Negligence and personal injury practice in the UK, has hired experienced marketer, David Burke, as Director of Marketing to oversee a re-vamped marketing strategy that applies FMCG techniques to bring new customers to the firm. Burke has worked for a number of blue chip consumer brands, including Typhoo Tea and Kelloggs. He reports to Group CMO, Alex Kenny.
Alex Kenny said the North-West based firm, which specialises in supporting those who have suffered serious injuries and medical negligence, is intent on accelerating consumer and market profile in its chosen segments.
Moreover, following the recent acquisition of Cycle SOS, a new partnership with Cycling UK and TV sponsorship of the 2023 Tour de France, the business has also expanded its presence in the cycling sector.
Kenny said: “This appointment marks our determination to capitalise on these investments and bring David’s experience working with consumer brands to our legal services proposition. We want to find new ways to speak to our customer base, and make radical improvements to the way our customers interact with Fletchers at all stages of the journey.”

Customer benefits specialist Collinson has announced the board appointment of Mo Shakarchi as its new Chief Product and Innovation Officer. A newly created position, the role is critical to our commitment to being a Product Led Growth organisation that puts the customer at the heart of what we do. Appointed to steer Collinson’s product portfolio at a time when it is focused on creating the most innovative experiences that will aid travel industry recovery and growth, Mo will be responsible for all global and regional product, tech, data and innovation strategy and execution. In his role, he will be dedicated to ensuring the company becomes even more customer-centric, using insights and data to drive hypothesises and experiments to test and learn, unlocking the worlds most valued travel and experience ecosystem.
Mo comes to Collinson with a wealth of product leadership, commercial and customer acumen after more than 17 years working for leading organisations across the energy, technology and communications sectors. He has delivered differentiated customer experiences and realised multi-billion pound commercial value. He joins the company from Vodafone, where he was heading up the UK Product Growth and Commercial Strategy teams, and prior to that has held multiple leadership roles at BP, most recently the Global Chief Product Officer. Alongside his work at Collinson, Mo will continue to be an advisory board member for Global Logic and start-ups, where he advises C-level suit on product, digital and data trends across industries.
Mo will oversee the company’s product, innovation and data strategy and portfolio – taking new propositions through from inception into the hands of consumers and clients. Reporting into Joint CEO Christopher Evans, he’ll be leading the Collinson’s data team to get the latest traveller insights and will use these to help inform and create the most innovative products.
HCML
HCML, one of the UK’s most comprehensive providers of rehabilitation treatment and case management solutions, has appointed Samantha Hadley as Clinical Operations Manager.
In her new role, Samantha will play an integral part in further developing HCML’s Children and Young People’s Services, supporting the growth of the specialist rehabilitation case management team in response to increased demand. HCML has seen a rise in the number of cases with 42% increase in referrals year on year. Samantha joins with significant experience and a deep understanding of the needs of children and adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs and acquired brain injury (ABI).
Much of Samantha’s career has been focused on developing services for children and adults, and directing, implementing, and managing change within organisations, reforming teams and changing the focus of services. Samantha has over 34 years of experience working with children and adults with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and acquired brain injury.
