Focus, a Managing General Agent (MGA) that has made a name for itself as a construction insurance specialist, has joined forces with respected insurer NIG to launch a Contractors Liability facility designed especially for smaller contractors.
The scheme, which is now available to Focus’s panel of brokers nationwide on a Delegated Authority basis, offers competitive Public and Employers Liability insurance to contractors with turnovers of up to £5m, in addition to Contractors All Risks. The scheme also boasts an exclusive policy wording and broader underwriting acceptance criteria.
Policy cover and target trades
The facility is designed to cover a broad range of construction trades, including:
- Builders (general/new homes/alterations/PDH), Bricklayers, Carpenters, Painters and Decorators, Double Glazing Installers, Fencing Contractors, Flooring and Tiling Contractors, Plasterers and Shopfitters
- Established businesses with a strong Risk Management approach to their operations. Turnovers up to £5m, Wage roll up to £5m and Contract Limits of £2m.

- Digital Claim Solutions
- NIG Risk Assist (a web-based Risk Management Portal).
