The latest senior level changes from ottonova;
Dr Bernhard Brühl, who holds a doctorate in business mathematics and is an actuary (DAV), has been CEO of the purely digital health insurer ottonova since 1 January 2023. He joined the company shortly after it was founded and became COO in July 2018.
Brühl takes over as Chairman of the Management Board from Dr Roman Rittweger, who is also the founder of ottonova. Rittweger, a physician with proven healthcare expertise on the consulting and corporate side, was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board by its members following his move to the Body. Rittweger succeeds the previous Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Prof Dr Herbert Henzler, for many years the head of McKinsey Germany, who is stepping down for reasons of age.
Bernhard Brühl: “I am very much looking forward to my new area of responsibility and to continuing to help shape ottonova’s future on the path to break-even in my new role. At the same time, I would like to thank Herbert Henzler and Roman Rittweger for the pleasant cooperation within the Supervisory Board and the Board of Management. It is nice that Roman Rittweger and I can continue our cooperation – in two now changed roles.” Roman Rittweger adds: “I would like to thank Herbert Henzler for the collaboration which has always been based on partnership, and for the first ottonova years together, during which we have achieved a great performance from the time of its foundation until today. I wish Bernhard Brühl every success as CEO of ottonova and always the necessary bit of luck.”
The ottonova Board of Management has been composed as follows since 1 January 2023: Dr Bernhard Brühl (Chief Executive Officer), Martin Betzwieser (Chief Financial Officer), Jesko David Kannenberg (Chief Marketing and Sales Officer), Christopher Koker (Chief Growth Officer).
