Manchester based broker C&C has picked up an award, plus launched a new dedicated SME Commercial lines unit.
C&C Insurance Brokers was recognised at the Bravo Networks Annual Awards by winning the prestigious Commercial Broker of the Year category. MD Malcolm Cooke was on hand to receive the award which was presented by someone who’s used to picking up a few gongs herself – five times gold medal-winning Paralympian, Ellie Simmonds. Bravo Networks houses two of the largest networks of independent regional brokers in the UK: Broker Network and Compass and the annual awards take place as a part of their two-day conference and exhibition. With over 550 independent broker members, the competition for the top spot was stiff.
Malcolm Cooke said: “It’s a great honour to receive this award on behalf of the whole team at C&C Insurance Brokers. Bravo Networks do so much for the industry, and independent brokers in particular, so to receive this recognition really is something quite special.
Earlier in March C&C Insurance Brokers launched their Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Team as a defined business unit within the Commercial Team. Previously the Commercial Team handled all sizes of client from the self-employed, through SMEs, up to multi-national organisations. With the new structure, premiums of around £10K or less will now be handled by our SME insurance business unit.
The SME team will initially comprise of six people – all existing C&C employees – and will be headed up by Nicola Lowrey – Operations Manager.
