Some news from HDI Group on their Leak360 product. Maybe UK water companies could fit some to their pipe network? Just an idea.
According to the German Insurance Association (GDV), a pipe bursts or a seal comes loose every 30 seconds – with losses amounting to 3.8 billion euros in 2021 alone. Leaks are not only caused by a fractured pipe, water passing through a defective flush can also cause damage. Public and commercial buildings are particularly at risk. Factors such as temporary vacancy, critical availability or old building fabric requires round-the-clock protection.
Leak360 provides this effective protection against major water damage. To detect potential damage, water, humidity and frost sensors are installed at exposed points in the building and water meters are continuously read. The sensors automatically detect abnormal consumption and damp areas and immediately alert previously defined persons. As a result, damage is detected at an early stage and stopped before it spreads through the building.
