CANOPIUS

Canopius, a leading global specialty (re)insurer, has appointed Lucy Bennett as Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). She takes up her role with immediate effect and will report to Ceri Royal, Head of HR, Business Partnering and Organisational Development.

In her new role, Lucy will be responsible for elevating Canopius’ EDI programme as the business works towards the goals set out in its EDI action plan. Lucy will also manage Canopius’ relationships with a growing panel of members’ bodies and charities which represent and support different societal groups, including the Business Disability Forum, broadening the specialist network of advisors which help to shape Canopius’ continued progression in the EDI space.

PRICE FORBES

Nick Gavin-Powell has been appointed to lead a new Private Client team at Price Forbes. Nick will lead a team of experts that will develop products and solutions for international clients looking to protect high-value personal assets – from fine art, diamonds and jewellery to cars and homes.

He most recently co-founded Miller’s Private Client business, and prior to that was Head of Private Clients for Aon. Before that he was divisional director at RKH/Howden, co-founding the Howden Private Office business for ultra-high-net worth individuals and families. The role reports into Jonathan Clark, CEO of Fine Art, Jewellery & Specie at Price Forbes.

CONVEX GROUP

Convex Group Limited (“Convex”), the international specialty insurer and reinsurer, announces that Paul Simons (ABOVE) will become Bermuda Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and Christophe Chandler will become Group Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer Reinsurance, effective 1st January 2024, subject to regulatory approval. Simons will continue to be based in Bermuda and Chandler in London both reporting to Matt Paskin, Group Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) Reinsurance and Chairman of the reinsurance executive committee (RExCo).

Convex RExCo will be made up of the following:

• Matt Paskin, Group CUO Reinsurance – Chairman
• Paul Simons, Bermuda CEO
• Christophe Chandler, Group Deputy CUO Reinsurance
• Roy Foster, UK CUO Reinsurance
• Richard Slater, Bermuda CUO Reinsurance

Simons joined Convex in December 2022 as Deputy CEO of  Bermuda, bringing his outstanding reputation and more than 25 years of experience in the Bermudian reinsurance market. Chandler joined Convex in 2019 leading  reinsurance specialty; Chandler has a wealth of experience in Property and Speciality in  the London, Bermuda and European markets.

LOGPOINT

 Logpoint is announcing the appointment of Michael Haldbo as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting to Logpoint CEO Jesper Zerlang, Haldbo will be responsible for taking the company successfully through the next step of the Logpoint journey to become a European cybersecurity powerhouse.
