The latest rewards type partnership deal from KoverNow;
KoverNow, the insurtech specialising in digitally-enabled cover, has partnered with Max Miles, the versatile reward points scheme, to incentivise customers purchasing travel and items insurance policies.
By partnering with Heymax, operator of the Max Miles scheme, KoverNow can offer a wide range of reward options to consumers. Every travel insurance policy taken out with KoverNow through Heymax will earn 500 Max Miles, and 15 Max Miles are offered per Singapore dollar spent on any other insurance. As an illustration, if a KoverNow customer’s Sony camera is valued at S$2,700 and the insurance premium is $12.5, the customer will earn 187.5 Max Miles.
KoverNow subscribers will be able to trade in their Max Miles, or points, with over twenty leading airline loyalty programs on a 1:1 ratio. In addition, cash-for-miles will be available with selected airlines and hotels. Gift card redemption is provided at a conversion rate of 100 Max Miles for every S$1.
“This is a very simple offer for our customers to take advantage of when they are purchasing insurance policies from us through Heymax,” said Stephan Kaiser, CEO at KoverNow. “There are no special conditions or limitations to how many Max Miles can be earned, but instead, there are plenty of opportunities to redeem points with major leading airlines including Qatar Airways, Etihad and Japan Airlines.”
The partnership with Heymax follows the launch of KoverNow’s Travel Insurance option, which allows customers to purchase both travel cover and dedicated items insurance in just one app. It
protects against unforeseen costs related to flight delays, medical treatment or the loss of a passport, but if a customer plans to travel with higher value items, such as luxury watches, jewellery or designer handbags, they can simply use the item insurance module to purchase cover. Because of the flexible policy term of 30 days for items cover, customers do not need to commit to a long-term contract to get their valuables covered for a single trip.
Like all KoverNow services, the travel insurance option is easy to use, allowing cover to be quickly secured, even as a customer is leaving home to travel to the airport. Now, with the addition of the Max Miles rewards scheme, customers will be additionally incentivised to secure their vacation and their items insurance through the KoverNow app.
