Claims: Alps Launches New Suite of Tools

Alps, a leading provider of insurance add-on policies, legal expenses and motor claims solutions for intermediaries, is excited to bring to market its proprietary claims technology suite.  Developed in response to the biggest challenges hampering claims service transformation, the technology delivers significant benefits including 50% increases in efficiency, reduced backlogs, boosted service levels, reduction in cost-per-claim, and an improved experience for brokers, claimants and claims handlers.

Finding off-the-shelf one-size-fits-all claims software lacking when it came to tackling the multitude of claims service challenges, the Alps in-house technology team built:

  • Task Master: A centralised workflow and task prioritisation tool that delivers a slick end-to-end claims service, with in-built efficiencies at every stage of the lifecycle.
  • JoBot:  An AI-powered task automation solution for simple claims processing tasks leaving handlers free to focus on more complex and value-added aspects of the claims service experience.

In beta testing the claims technology has exceeded expectations.  Handlers are now completing 50% more tasks per day resulting in a 13% reduction in cost per claim, and an average 13% uptick in the number of claims settled and closed per annum.  In addition, the tools have improved due diligence, service level adherence, and backlog elimination, as well as generating significant time savings and improving the mental well-being of claims staff.
