The latest from Woodgate and Clark;
In response to increasing demand from brokers and insurers supporting the global film and TV industries, Spotlite Claims, the specialist loss adjusting arm of Woodgate and Clark, has launched Employers’ Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) Claims support to complement its existing range of claims handling services for the international entertainment sector.
The business has also recently recruited a new adjuster, Sarah Coulsten to boost the team, as claims volumes recover following the writers strike in 2023 The expansion of Spotlite’s services to encompass EL and PL claims has been made possible by leveraging the expertise of the wider Woodgate and Clark Group. It means Spotlite is now able to offer a ‘one stop shop’ of claims handling expertise for the burgeoning film and TV industry.
Marion Jones, Head of International Film and TV at Spotlite Claims said: “This is a great example of the cross-pollination of skills within the Woodgate & Clark group, meaning our broker and insurer relationships can now benefit from EL/PL expertise that would previously be outside of our remit.
The expansion of our services along with the appointment of Sarah Coulsten could not come at a better time given news of the UK Independent Film Tax Credit (IFTC) bringing a welcome boost to the indie film sector in particular.”
