Some interesting legal sector news from Kennedys;
Global law firm Kennedys has expanded its team in Madrid with the appointment of a 13-strong team from Clyde & Co.
The new arrivals are led by partners Ignacio Figuerol, Ricardo Garrido and Susana Martinez who said they were “excited” to join the firm.

Ignacio has extensive experience advising on domestic and international insurance litigation and arbitration and non-contentious insurance in the D&O, financial institutions and professional indemnity fields. He has handled major cases involving public offering of securities, directors and officers, financial institutions, auditors, insurance brokers, accountants and lawyers. He also recently advised insurers in connection with class actions in the US against Spanish companies.
Ricardo acts for major national and international insurance companies in both contentious and non-contentious matters. He has been involved in several high-profile cases defending insurers and their insureds and has substantial tribunal experience.
Susana has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance sector, with a particular focus on financial lines. Her practice centres on advice, coverage dispute and defence work in complex matters across multiple jurisdictions.
