MAXIS GLOBAL

MAXIS Global Benefits Network (MAXIS GBN), has announced the appointment of Tamara Truta Amizic as Regional Business Development Manager – West US & LATAM as part of its Americas Business Development team. Tamara will be responsible for outbound business in the region and will lead the existing team, working in close partnership with MAXIS’ clients and partners.
Tamara has over 20 years’ experience in global employee benefits with expertise in sales strategy, global relationship management and business development. She joins MAXIS from one of its shareholder companies, MetLife. She was most recently responsible for leading select customer relationships within MetLife National Accounts as well as pursuing new business relationships. In her role as Global Sales and Strategy Director at MetLife between 2017 and 2020, she worked across the group to increase collaboration between MetLife US and its global businesses.
LEGAL AND GENERAL
Legal & General announces the appointment of Nicki Plews as its new Head of Product and Proposition for Retail Protection.
Plews joins Legal & General from Munich Re, where she worked as a Business Development Director responsible for managing key client accounts, driving innovative client solutions and identifying new business opportunities. She has over 16 years of experience, having previously worked at AIG Life and Swiss Re where she held various senior roles including Head of Strategy, Head of Proposition, and Senior Product Manager.
As Head of Product and Proposition, Plews will lead, shape and implement Legal & General’s protection product and proposition strategy; developing and delivering innovative and customer-centric products and propositions that meet the changing needs of customers across all distribution channels.
INSURTECH ISRAEL

Dr. Yael Benvenisti has joined the InsurTech Israel Team. The sector association promotes local companies in the field, stages events and helps accelerate growth.

MAPFRE
Global reinsurer MAPFRE RE today announces the appointment of Alberto Estevez Allegue as Chief Representative Officer of its Representative Office in Tokyo, Japan, effective 1 July 2024.
Alberto brings over 12 years of experience within the MAPFRE group of companies. His career trajectory reflects a deep understanding of the Asian-Pacific insurance landscape. He began his journey in 2012 at MAPFRE Asistencia’s MAPFRE Warranty Japan, where he served as Finance and Strategic Planning Manager for the APAC region based in Tokyo.
His subsequent roles included Administration and Finance Regional Manager for the MAPFRE Group APAC regional team in China (2014), Administration and Finance Manager of Asia within the MAPFRE Group EURASIA Region (2018), and most recently, Projects Expert Manager at MAPFRE RE’s APAC Regional Management in Madrid.
KOVER NOW
KoverNow, the popular digital insurance platform, has announced the appointment of two new executives to join its growing team in Hong Kong. The move comes three months after the appointment of John Trotter, the financial services business development expert, who joined the company as Chief Sales Officer and Managing Director in March.

Jennifer Cheung will take on the role of KoverNow´s Marketing Manager. She is a digital marketing, social media and project management expert and joins from YKONE Asia where she managed end-to-end influencer marketing projects for international luxury lifestyle, retail and travel brands. Jennifer has also worked at FiveStones where she was an advertising consultant and specialist for Google Marketing Platforms, and at Retykle where she led a three-person marketing team across Hong Kong and Singapore.

Also joining KoverNow is Mark Cheng, an experienced full-stack developer who brings expertise working on hybrid frameworks. He is proficient in the entire software development cycle and excels at delivering tailored solutions to meet complex requirements. Mark joins KoverNow as Head of Development and brings experience of running his own software development company, RESTUD.IO, as well as working for consultants, Cinotech.

S-RM

Leadingglobal intelligence and cyber security consultancy S-RM has announced the appointment of Tom Yoxall and Mark Long as part of its ongoing investment into post-incident restoration and recovery services.
Tom Yoxall has been appointed as Head of Restoration and Recovery Services – reflecting the growth of the company’s capabilities in post-incident support. Tom will lead the continued development of the service line across S-RM’s global footprint – UK, US, Europe and Asia. Mark Long has also joined S-RM as a new Associate on the Restoration and Recovery team. Tom and Mark are both based in S-RM’s London headquarters and join from UK-based IT managed service provider, Commercial.
ROKSTONE
Rokstone, the International Speciality (Re)Insurance MGA and part of the Aventum Group, has announced the launch of a new Sports & Leisure Casualty division in the US. 

The division will be led by the highly experienced Charles Landrum, a master of the US commercial casualty market with 40+ years’ experience in the development of specialist solutions for the sports and leisure industry. 

Charles joins from Chasgatr Consultants Inc. where he held the position of Principal Consultant. His previous experience includes Chief Underwriting Officer at Everest Re, CEO at T.H.E Insurance Company, and senior positions at Nationwide Insurance Company and Allied Insurance Holdings.

CONSILIUM

Consilium, the global speciality (re)insurance broking business of the Aventum Group, has announced the appointment of Jodie Gibbons as its newest Business Development Manager (BDM) for the Southwest.  Working within the Risk Solutions team, Jodie will improve regional broker access to Lloyd’s and London market capacity across a range of specialist risks.

Jodie joins Consilium from Q Underwriting, where she held the position of Key Account Manager.  Her previous experience includes business development roles at Victor Insurance UK, DUAL Corporate Risks Ltd and Rural Insurance. Jodie boasts 22+ years’ experience, and a vast network of retail brokers across the entire Wales & Southwest of England. It is an area which is often overlooked by the Lloyd’s and London market, and yet one with huge opportunity for growth, and synergies with Consilium’s Risk Solutions niche portfolio including property, casualty, cyber, professional indemnity, construction, asbestos, waste and recycling, and motor.

DAVIES

Davies, the leading specialist professional services and technology company, today announced the appointment of Amber Wilkinson as Group Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Amber will join Davies later this year, reporting directly to Group CEO, Dan Saulter, as well as joining the firm’s group executive committee. Amber succeeds Davies’ senior executive, Tony Debiase, who will step down following a successful 12 years in the CFO seat.

Amber joins Davies from global law firm, DLA Piper, where she has served as CFO since 2021. Prior to DLA Piper, Amber spent more than a decade at AXA in senior leadership roles, including CFO of AXA Health, CFO of Bluefin Insurance, and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for AXA UK & Ireland. A Chartered Accountant, Amber trained at PwC in London spending time in the firm’s audit and corporate finance practices.

Davies’ CFO appointment comes on the back of the firm announcing a £1.5 billion refinance of its senior debt facilities, reducing its annual interest bill and extending maturities to 2031 as well as securing a new credit line to support its M&A, technology and AI ambitions.

CHUBB

Chubb Limited (NYSE: CB) recently announced that David Lupica, Chief Operating and Distribution Management Officer, Westchester, has been named Vice President, Chubb Group and Division President of Westchester. Lupica will have executive operating responsibility for Chubb’s wholesale excess and surplus (E&S) lines business in North America.

Lupica succeeds Scott Meyer, who was recently promoted to Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and Chief Operating Officer, North America Insurance. He will report to Meyer and Juan Luis Ortega, Executive Vice President, Chubb Group and President, North America Insurance.
