Can it be a challenge when it comes to insuring smaller fleets of vehicles? The Direct Commercial Limited (DCL) Broker Barometer reveals that 60% of brokers dealing with commercial motor insurance face difficulties in securing cover for smaller fleets, particularly those comprising 1 to 5 vehicles, highlighting a pressing need for industry adaptation.
The latest DCL Barometer also shows a strong consensus among brokers on other key requirements. 98% of brokers emphasise the need for insurance providers to adopt a broader risk appetite and 92% of brokers are increasingly moving away from non-rated capacity, indicating a significant shift in market preferences.
In response, DCL has launched its A-rated Haul in One product on Acturis today (Monday 19th August) to assist brokers struggling to find cover for single commercial vehicles.
For small fleets up to and including 5 vehicles, DCL continues to provide instant quotes and cover for multiple vehicles on a single policy via the bespoke Haul in One online portal.
Joe Hantson of Direct Commercial Limited, said:
“DCL consistently prioritises aligning our offerings with the evolving needs and expectations of commercial motor brokers. The data from our DCL Barometer clearly shows that brokers are facing significant challenges in securing cover for small fleets. We are pleased to launch our Haul in One product on Acturis, thereby offering a solution to a wider panel of brokers and their clients.”
