Global law firm Kennedys has made a further 97 senior appointments as part of its annual round of promotions. Here are the details;
46 senior associates have progressed to legal director – known as ‘of counsel’ or ‘special counsel’ in some countries – with another 51 lawyers promoted to senior associates.
It follows 17 partner promotions announced earlier this year, which took the firm’s total partner count to 349. In the 12 months up to April, the firm also appointed 19 new partners and saw a 12% increase in the number of fee earners worldwide.
Nick Thomas, global senior partner, says: “In a year when we have enjoyed record financial results, I am delighted to once again announce our latest raft of senior promotions across the network. It is both testament to our talented people and recognition of our commitment to nurturing and developing their careers with us.”

The firm reported record revenue of £384million for the financial year 2023/2024, an increase of 17% on the previous year.
Growth has also continued apace with the opening of a tenth US office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and a string of new hires including a 16-strong team from Clyde & Co joining the Melbourne office.
