Europcar Mobility Announces Key Appointments

Some appointments news from Europcar Mobility;

Reflecting its goal to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions in the fast-changing mobility landscape, Europcar Mobility Group has made two key appointments to its UK & Ireland leadership team.

Mark Newberry, formerly Commercial Director, has taken up a new role of Transformation & Strategy Director. Paul McNeice is taking over as Commercial Director for the UK & Ireland alongside his existing role as Head of Country for Ireland.

Earlier this year Europcar Mobility Group announced its strategic framework – EXCEED – to ensure its plans align with customer needs, to drive growth. EXCEED encompasses three pillars:

  • Excel: operational excellence initiatives, at all levels, in all functions, with a strong focus on the quality of the physical and digital customer journey
  • Expand: profitable growth focused on high value customer segments and geographic areas
  • Explore: development of offers and services that meet customers’ new expectations and emerging societal trends

The creation of the new Transformation & Strategy Director role as part of the UK & Ireland leadership team underlines the focus on the EXCEED framework.

As Europcar Commercial Director for the UK & Ireland for more than two years, Mark Newberry brings a deep knowledge of the business and commercial landscape to his new role. He will now focus on critical transformation projects, supporting the development of the business’ strategic direction.

Paul McNeice is well placed to support Europcar’s growth ambitions for 2025 and beyond across the UK and Ireland. He joined the Europcar Ireland Commercial team in 2018, and has led the company’s Customer Experience and Innovation teams as well as driving sales activity. His previous experience with corporates and blue-chip brands, including Coca-Cola in both the UK & Irish markets, gives him strong insight into the commercial challenges facing businesses today.

“There are some big challenges ahead in the mobility space for our customers, from adjusting to the new hybrid working model to transitioning to ever-more sustainable transport solutions”, explained Gary Smith, Managing Director, Europcar Mobility Group UK & Ireland.

“It’s critical, therefore, that we remain focused on delivering solutions that are both innovative and fit for purpose. I am confident that these new appointments to our leadership team will further bolster our ability to support businesses and individuals as they aim to reduce their impact on the environment.”
