Thirteen an unlucky number? Not for AG. This internationally renowned institute conducts a thorough evaluation of the HR policy of participating companies, both in Belgium and internationally. It analyzes no fewer than 600 HR practices and procedures, in addition to an extensive questionnaire with 100 assessment criteria.

Jan Heyvaert, Chief Human Resources & Sustainability Officer“This label is not only a recognition for us, but also a motivation to continue to develop. Every year, we further improve our HR policy and offer a total package of opportunities, guidance and benefits that benefit our employees not only now, but also in the future. In a competitive job market, it’s our strong company culture that makes the difference, and I’m immensely proud of our team that strengthens that culture every day.”

Excellent score in multiple domains

Compared to other award-winning employers, AG is leading the way when it comes to a modern and flexible working environment. The “Reinvent Workplace” project plays a key role in this. A thorough renovation will not only make AG’s offices more pleasant, but also equipped with the latest technologies. In addition, internal social platforms and a personalized digital employee experience make the daily work of the 4,400 employees more pleasant. Hybrid working and flexible hours give employees the freedom to organize their working week largely themselves.

AG also scores strongly in other areas, such as career development, salary policy, inclusion and sustainability:

  • AG aims to be a “Great Place to Grow”, with active career development through internal mobility, online learning platforms, coaching, a wide range of training courses and mentoring networks. These many initiatives are bearing fruit, because in the past year no fewer than 180 employees took on a new challenge within the company.
  • Flexibility is at the heart of AG’s remuneration policy. The cafeteria plan offers employees freedom of choice, while family-friendly benefits and well-being programs ensure a healthy work-life balance.
  • New employees start with a warm onboarding, supported by tools such as the warm-welcome app and a welcome game. Personal follow-up and targeted starter training help newcomers to quickly find their feet.
  • To promote dialogue and transparency, AG organizes biannual “Let’s Talk” sessions with the CEO and the CHRSO. These dialogue sessions offer employees the opportunity to share ideas, ask questions and give feedback. On average, 1,100 colleagues participate in these interactive conversations.
  • AG is also making sustainability and inclusion a priority, with initiatives such as DEI Week and Sustainability Day. Projects such as “Unlimited Student Job” and embracing employees of all ages strengthen the inclusive culture.
