Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, announces that Eric Andersen has transitioned from his role as president to serve as a senior advisor to Greg Case, CEO of Aon, through June 2026. The role of president has been assumed by Case.
Andersen joined Aon with the firm’s acquisition of Minet in 1997 and has played a significant role over the last 28 years in advancing the firm’s Aon United strategy, resulting in positive outcomes for clients, colleagues and shareholders. Most recently as president, Andersen helped bring together Aon’s integrated Risk Capital (Reinsurance and Commercial Risk) and Human Capital (Health, Wealth and Talent) capabilities and operationalize Aon’s 3×3 Plan to go further, faster to serve clients.
PREMIUM CREDIT

As part of Premium Credit’s drive to strengthen its proposition with a series of strategic new hires, Hayley Thomas has joined the business as Head of Business Operations. Hayley will be a member of the Senior leadership team reporting directly to Josie Pileio, Chief Operations & People Officer.
Hayley started her career at KPMG in Management Consulting working on projects in financial services, telecoms and utilities. She has since worked in strategy, transformation and operational senior leadership roles in Australia and the UK for a range of businesses including Qantas, Amazon and most recently Funding Circle.
She has built a breadth of experience and skills that will be critical for Premium Credit’s Operations moving forward, from developing and executing go-to-market strategies for new products to building sustainable operating practices that support growth.
MARSH
Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor and a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), today announced the appointment of Adam Russell as Head of Global Wholesale, effective immediately. Based in London, Mr. Russell reports to John Donnelly, President, Global Placement, Marsh.
In this role, Mr. Russell has overall responsibility for Marsh’s global wholesale insurance broking operations, which includes portfolio solutions. He will focus on developing Marsh’s global wholesale and facultative business and supporting clients through providing a comprehensive range of capabilities, solutions, and advice.
SUN LIFE FINANCIAL

Sun Life Financial Inc. (TSX: SLF) (NYSE: SLF) today announced the appointment of Bennet Li as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Asia, effective immediately. In this role, Bennet will report to Tim Deacon, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Manjit Singh, President of Sun Life Asia.
As CFO for Asia, Bennet will be responsible for aligning Sun Life’s financial strategies, operational processes, and capital allocation across the region. He will focus on driving finance strategic objectives to accelerate growth in Asia and deliver long-term value for shareholders.
Bennet has been interim CFO for Sun Life Asia since September 2024. He joined Sun Life in 2002 and has held various leadership positions across Finance, Actuarial, and Group Benefits and Retirement Services in both Asia and Canada. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Head of Strategic Finance and Country Manager for Mainland China.
EMBROKER
Allianz Commercial has announced that Lara Martiner will become the new Global Head of Alternative Risk Transfer at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS), with effect from April 1, 2025. She succeeds Grant Maxwell, who leaves Allianz at the end of June, and will maintain her current role as CEO of AGCS subsidiary Allianz Risk Transfer AG.
Alternative Risk Transfer is a strategic growth area for Allianz Commercial, with increasing demand from clients looking to complement their traditional risk transfer programs with non-traditional solutions. These include structured insurance, captive fronting, and bespoke risk solutions such as parametrics and sustainable solutions. In 2024, the Alternative Risk Transfer unit underwrote over €2.0 billion in gross written premium including fronting premiums. This underlines that Alternative Risk Transfer is a key contributor to Allianz Commercial’s performance in the market.
ARAG
Leading legal expenses and assistance insurer, ARAG has announced that Nathan Holt will take over as Director of Underwriting, when David Haynes becomes CEO at the start of April.
Holt will assume overall underwriting responsibility for all of ARAG’s before the event (BTE) and after the event (ATE) insurance and assistance products and will join the UK Executive Management Committee.
He has most recently served as ARAG’s Head of BTE and ATE Underwriting, before which he held a succession of underwriting roles at DAS. He brings a great deal of experience to the new position, from a career spanning sales and underwriting roles over almost 25 years, at DAS, Lockton and RSA.

Rebecca brings over a decade of experience to the TMHCCI team and joins from Miller Insurance Services, where she spent four years as a Senior Broker in its Cargo and Stock Throughput division, before being promoted to Cargo Practice Lead.

Volt Underwriting, the new MGA formed to support clients active in the energy transition sector, announces that Chris Haines, one of London’s leading underwriters of Ports, Terminals & Logistics risks, has joined the firm to lead its entry into the class.
Haines has spent more than a dozen years underwriting the class, most recently as head of P&T for AIG in London. He was previously Class Underwriter – Ports and Terminals for Skuld.

He joins from PoloWorks, where he served as delegated underwriting authority controller and before that as technical controller for the same company. He began his career processing claims for several Lloyd’s syndicates, progressing to roles involving binder management, aggregations processing, catastrophe modelling, contract certainty, sanctions checking and delegated authority.
