The latest set of results are looking good;
PrismaLife AG can look back on a successful 2024 financial year. Premium income rose by around four percent to EUR 136.8 million. New business also developed excellently, with growth of around 25 percent to EUR 25.1 million. The main driver was one-off premiums, especially from co-payments in current contracts. PrismaLife offers tariffs in which customers can flexibly save premiums without additional acquisition costs.
“PrismaLife is showing a good and stable development,” says PrismaLife CEO Holger Beitz. “This is a very pleasing result, because many people have reconsidered or even postponed long-term savings decisions due to the economic policy situation.”
Assets under management rose by 13 percent to around 1.7 billion euros. The focus is on investments in investment funds, where customers can choose from a range of over 150 funds. The proportion of funds that are designated as sustainable grew again and now stands at around ten percent. “The fact that our clients are increasingly following the sustainable orientation of our capital investment strengthens us in our sustainability strategy, which we will continue to expand,” says Beitz.
PrismaLife’s annual result improved by 3.9 percent year-on-year to EUR 1.3 million. “In the medium term, we see higher earnings potential,” says Beitz, “also because in the future, as part of the BarmeniaGothaer Group, we will be able to open up new sales options, take advantage of cost advantages and score points internationally with the Group’s capital strength behind us.”
With the merger of Barmenia and Gothaer into a joint group of companies, which was completed in 2024, PrismaLife AG is also entering a new chapter in its corporate history. Since Barmenia acquired the majority of the shares in 2023, PrismaLife AG has benefited from the advantages of a large group of companies as a competence team for international markets and cross-border business, while conversely contributing important experience that is relevant for the long-term development of the life insurance division.
Holger Beitz: “Our fundamental focus on offering sustainable pension solutions will remain the same within the Group and will be further strengthened by us. The strategic cornerstones of PrismaLife AG remain internationality, a clear commitment to sustainability and a flexible product and investment offering for our customers.”
The product strategy of PrismaLife AG will continue to focus on the areas of unit-linked life insurance and funeral care. The aim is to reduce complexity and facilitate adaptation to different jurisdictions through appropriate product design.
