Quensus Teams Up With Aviva Risk Management Solutions

 Quensus, an award-winning smart water management firm, has today announced it is now a Specialist Partner of Aviva, one of the UK’s largest insurance providers. More details on the partnership here;

The partnership with Aviva Risk Management Solutions (ARMS), which offers customised risk management and prevention solutions for businesses, will support companies in meeting the requirements of the new ‘Joint Code of Practice on the Prevention and Management of Escape of Water on Construction Sites and Buildings Undergoing Renovation’ (JCoP).

The JCoP aims to reduce the risk and impact of water escape incidents in buildings. This JCoP is particularly significant for insurance and construction due to its focus on mitigating the risks and costs associated with water damage, which can be substantial. The collaboration will support industry adherence to the updated best practice standards, while promoting sustainable water management practices.

Through this partnership, Quensus will leverage its smart water management technology to help businesses proactively manage their water systems and prevent catastrophic leaks. Offering real-time data, actionable insights, and automatic control, the solution aims to streamline operations, reduces waste, and facilitates adherence with best practices.

This collaboration offers Aviva customers preferential rates on Quensus’ leak detection and prevention solutions. Aviva customers also gain access to a water management app to monitor their property portfolio and receive leak alarms remotely.

Businesses that adopt these solutions early could gain a competitive advantage as the updated guidelines become more widely adopted, through adherence to Escape of Water management best practice.

Dan Simmons, CEO of Quensus, commented:

“The new JCoP is a critical focus for mitigating the rising cost of Escape of Water claims in the UK. By partnering with Aviva, we can provide businesses with the tools and support they need to not only meet these new standards but also achieve significant savings and environmental benefits. This collaboration underscores our commitment to driving innovation in water management and delivering real value to our customers.”

Simon Hemingway, Escape of Water Technical Specialist at Aviva, added:

“Escape of water incidents during the construction phase, in completed structures and in occupied properties are a frequent and often costly cause of loss. These incidents lead to considerable business interruption, clean-up costs and project delays, causing significant disruption to our customers.

“Quensus understands Aviva’s diligent approach to escape of water risk management, and we’re pleased to welcome them on board as a Specialist Partner to complement our in-house expertise. Their technical solutions can help our customers safeguard their assets from potential water damage, mitigating future financial losses and minimising business disruption.”
