The UK still has ambitious people and companies, looking to grow fast and create jobs. Here’s the word from Capsule;
Capsule Insurance, a tech-driven and forward-thinking insurance broker,, has officially released its annual Scale-Up 50 list – highlighting the UK’s most promising high-growth tech companies disrupting their sectors.
The esteemed line-up was compiled in partnership with leading business research analyst and Sunday Times 100 Head of Research Ying van de Walle. The team analysed extensive data on private firms throughout the UK, focusing on key factors such as revenue growth, venture capitalist support, market impact, and potential for innovation. By following strict criteria and combining Capsule’s own industry insights, they’ve carefully curated a list that reflects the diversity and dynamism of the country’s most exciting businesses.
“After the tremendous success of our previous editions, we’re delighted to once again shine a spotlight on the companies reshaping Britain’s economic landscape,” said co-founder and CEO of Capsule, Thomas Wynne. “The Scale-Up 50 isn’t just about celebrating impressive growth figures – it’s about recognising the entrepreneurial spirit and resilience that drives these businesses forward despite challenging conditions.”
The list, sponsored by Cooper Parry and HSBC Innovation Banking, features companies from a diverse range of technology sectors including FinTech, MedTech, and Climate. Businesses that made the cut gain access to an exclusive Scale-Up 50 event, and better visibility among investors and business partners.
“Scale-ups face distinct challenges as they navigate rapid growth – particularly around high-risk management and insurance requirements,” explained Liam Green, Capsule co-founder and COO. “By bringing these companies together through the Scale-Up 50 community, we’re creating valuable opportunities for knowledge-sharing and collaboration. They can gain practical insights from peers who understand their specific growth challenges, as well as expert guidance on preparing their businesses for continued expansion.”
Last month, the shortlist was celebrated at Capsule’s annual Scale-Up 50 event hosted at the iconic Walkie-Talkie building. It was a hotbed of inspiration, with a panel comprising leaders from top UK scale-ups; PolyAI, Carmoola, Flo Health, and Xampla.
