 The latest from Blenheim Underwriting for you;

Blenheim Underwriting announces the appointments of Phil Lawson and Alex Hewlett as class underwriters, effective February 2026. The pair will join the delegated authority team, further strengthening Blenheim Underwriting’s highly regarded property account.

Lawson and Hewlett join following 12 years at Scor Syndicate 2015; Lawson as class underwriter and Hewlett as senior underwriter. Combined, they bring 50 years’ experience to Blenheim Underwriting.

The appointments follow a string of high-quality appointments across both MGA and syndicate in recent months, the most recent being that of Alex Stratton-Thomsett as casualty underwriter.

Peter Scales, group chairman and CEO, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Phil and Alex to the team. Their experience will significantly strengthen our delegated authority portfolio and continues the recent pattern of attracting quality underwriters with proven track records, eager to rebuild their personal franchises under a successful independent banner. Our goal is to maintain underwriting integrity and continue to attract exceptional talent into our business.”
