LSM

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of Alexandra Weigel as head of multinational, Europe. Based in Zurich, Weigel is responsible for supporting the expansion of LSM’s multinational programme capability in Europe.
LSM has a strong presence in the region, providing products across more than 20 lines of business and offices in seven countries. Weigel will play a vital role in building scalable foundations and processes to support our multinational programme (MNP) offering which is a key enabler of our Invest in Europe 2030 strategy. Besides the strengthening of our multinational programme capability, the strategy aims to drive digitisation and the use of AI to enhance underwriting quality and claims service, as well as expand our geographic footprint and launch a range of specialised products tailored to the evolving needs of our partners.
Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group is also pleased to announce the appointment of James Cole as head of client and broker distribution, UK & MENA. Based in London, Cole is responsible for further streamlining distribution across UK & MENA and leading the team to deliver first-class service to clients and broking partners.
Reporting to Luis Prato, president of UK & MENA for LSM and Andrew Jackson, international head of client and broker distribution, Cole will oversee the management of client and broker relationships across the key markets. He will work closely with underwriting teams and LSM’s global distribution leadership to ensure effective and consistent alignment with global strategy while leveraging regional expertise to deliver LSM’s market-leading proposition.

BPL, the world’s leading insurance broker specialising in credit and political risk, has appointed Grahame Chilton (“Chily”) as Non-Executive Chairman.
Widely regarded as a leading figure in the global insurance market, Chily has built and led businesses in the industry for over 45 years. As Chief Executive of Benfield, Chily transformed the business into the world’s leading reinsurance broker before overseeing its landmark c.US $1.25 bn sale to Aon in 2008. He subsequently founded Capsicum Re which quickly grew to a top five global reinsurance broker, before being acquired by Gallagher.

BROADSTONE

Broadstone, a leading independent UK consultancy delivering expert advice to employers, insurers, pension scheme trustees and lenders, today announces the appointment of Cormac Bradley as Senior Actuarial Director.
Cormac joins Broadstone’s Insurance, Regulatory and Risk division within its non-life Insurance team which delivers a range of actuarial and consulting services to the market. He brings almost 30 years of experience to Broadstone from the senior actuarial roles he has held at Direct Line Insurance Group – now part of Aviva – and Willis Towers Watson (WTW).
PRICE FORBES

Price Forbes announces that Eric Wang Mingchao has been appointed to the role of Head of Affinity, Singapore. He will report directly to Julian Coates, Chief Broking Officer, Price Forbes Singapore.
In his new role, Eric will be responsible for leading and growing Price Forbes facultative reinsurance portfolios across key affinity products, including extended warranty insurance, auto & finance insurance, ADP & screen cover insurance, payment protection insurance, contingency (sports & event cancellation), pet insurance, and personal accident insurance. he will also play a central role in developing the business’s presence in Asia Pacific and driving forward its broader affinity growth strategy.
CFC

CFC, the specialist insurance provider, pioneer in emerging risk and market leader in cyber, are excited to announce that Jane Poole will be joining the group as Group Chief Financial Officer in September (subject to regulatory approval) to lead the group into its next stage of growth. Current Group CFO Michael Grist, who has served for nearly 16 years, will be stepping back from day-to-day responsibilities later this year, but will remain with the business in an advisory capacity.

FNZ, the leading global wealth management platform, has announced two executive committee appointments as part of its continued investment in sustainable growth and long-term client success.
Ryan Beach has joined FNZ as Group Head of North America, based in Nebraska, reporting to Group President, Roman Regelman. Ryan brings nearly 20 years of executive leadership experience across wealth management, investment platforms and fintech. He was previously CEO of F2 Strategy, and before that, President and COO at Orion, where he played a central role in scaling the business into a nationally recognized wealth technology platform.
MOODY’S
Moody’s is deepening its commitment to the $8 trillion global insurance sector with the appointment of Simon Harris as the leader of Moody’s Insurance Initiative. This is a strategic effort to enhance the firm’s presence and impact in this sector, globally, with Simon partnering with MA’s Insurance Solutions group and Moody’s Ratings to execute on bringing the full power of Moody’s to this priority growth area. His deep expertise and proven leadership will be instrumental in positioning Moody’s as the leading source of intelligence and innovation for insurers navigating today’s complex risk landscape.
ALLIANZ PARTNERS
Allianz Partners, a global leader in insurance and assistance services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Okan Özdemir as its new Chief Officer for Health and Board Member, effective September 1, 2025. In this role, Okan will report directly to Allianz Partners CEO Tomas Kunzmann.
Okan Özdemir joins Allianz Partners from Allianz Türkiye, where he served as Chief Health Officer and Executive Board Member since 2019. With over 24 years at Allianz Türkiye, holding a number of strategic roles including Chief Marketing Officer, he has been instrumental in advancing the company’s market leadership and growth in health insurance while overseeing a significant digital transformation within the business.
HDI GLOBAL
HDI Global appoints Bob van Alphen as a new leader for one of its two Engineering Underwriting teams, which are organised by region. As Head of Engineering Underwriting, van Alphen will report to François Périquet, Global Head of Engineering. Located in the Hannover headquarter of HDI Global, van Alphen will oversee a team of 6 professionals working on expanding HDI Global’s value proposition in Engineering underwriting. He succeeds Ralph Kehrbaum, who will ensure a smooth transition through a comprehensive induction phase and remain a member of the team.
SICSIC

The strategic risk and regulatory consultancy, Sicsic Advisory welcomes Sally Dewar as a Senior Adviser to the team.
Sally is a seasoned adviser to boards and senior executives, with over 25 years’ experience in financial and professional services, specialising in governance, culture and purpose, non-financial risk and compliance, and regulatory strategy.
Sally was most recently CEO of A&O Shearman’s consulting business, which she founded in 2018. Under her leadership, the firm built a global team of subject matter experts across governance, regulatory change, transformation, financial crime and risk, operating from London, Australia and the US. She advised clients worldwide on strategic and regulatory matters, embedding cultural change and enhancing governance frameworks.
ALLIANZ UK
Allianz UK has made a senior appointment to its growing personal lines business, hiring Glyn Hughes as Managing Director of Allianz Personal Broker.
Glyn will start his new role in February 2026, joining the UK personal lines leadership team reporting to Serge Raffard. His appointment (Subject to regulatory approval) highlights Allianz’s continued investment in its broker business, which is a key part of the company’s multi-product, multi-channel strategy.
He joins from Ageas, where he is currently Director of Personal Lines Underwriting and Pricing. During this role he oversaw the profitable growth of the personal lines portfolio, leading a team of underwriting and pricing professionals.
BARNETT WADDINGHAM

Leading professional services consultancy Barnett Waddingham (BW) announces the appointment of Will Scobie as Senior Risk and Resilience Consultant.
Will brings extensive leadership experience and deep expertise in organisational resilience, crisis management, supply chain resilience and business strategy, and joins after ten years leading Horizonscan, a boutique consultancy specialising in Risk and Resilience.
Will’s comprehensive management background also spans finance, operations, HR, business development, strategy, and governance. In his new role, Will will help grow BW’s resilience practice, whilst leveraging his broad expertise to support and lead client projects across the wider Risk and Digital Resilience areas. He will also drive new business development for the team.
BW SIPP TEAM
Barnett Waddingham (BW) also bolstered its BW SIPP leadership team with two new strategic hires.
Emily Crotty joins BW SIPP as Head of SIPP Risk, with Rebecca Smith having taken up the role of Head of SIPP Finance earlier this year. Together with the recent appointment of new BW SIPP CEO Nick Cooper, these appointments see BW SIPP driving further investment in people and platform transformation.
Emily and Rebecca join at a pivotal time for BW SIPP. Their combined experience in senior leadership roles will support Nick Cooper, who recently took over as CEO following a planned transition from Simon Foster. Both will join the SIPP Senior Management team.
ARCH INSURANCE

Arch Insurance has announced the appointment of Patrick Richard (below) as Head of Casualty for France and Virginie du Parc Locmaria (above) as Senior Casualty Underwriter, effective 15 September 2025.

Richard and du Parc Locmaria join Arch Insurance (EU) dac (AIEU), which provides specialist property and casualty insurance solutions within the European Union. Based in Paris, Richard – working closely with du Parc Locmaria – will be responsible for leading the expansion of Arch’s casualty portfolio in France, writing primary, umbrella and excess liability cover across a broad range of sectors including industrial, manufacturing and services.
Du Parc Locmaria also brings extensive knowledge of the casualty insurance market to the role, with over 25 years of experience. She also joins from Volante Global where she was most recently Regional Director for the South-West and a casualty underwriter. Prior to this, she held underwriting roles at Chubb, Hiscox and AIG.
