Training is a vital part of the insurance sector, so this move from Wiser Academy has to be good news;
Wiser Academy, the award-winning provider of insurance training and development, has announced the launch of its pioneering Fast-Track Apprenticeship, offering a route to achieving Cert CII qualifications in just 10 months.
Traditionally, completing the Cert CII qualification through an apprenticeship takes 15–17 months. With recent government changes relaxing apprenticeship rules on duration, Wiser Academy has seized the opportunity to redesign the journey, delivering a programme that is seven months quicker without compromising quality.
The Fast-Track model combines the best of both worlds:
• Monthly in-person training days at a central location, with dates published in advance.
• Digital study support and virtual check-ins between sessions.
• A unique group-based approach to portfolio building, turning what is usually a solo and stressful task into a collaborative and efficient workshop.
Crescens George, CEO, Wiser Academy, said: “This is about responding to the needs of today’s learners and employers. Insurance professionals who are already in the industry don’t want to wait over a year to achieve their qualification. Our Fast-Track Apprenticeship gives them the same recognition, but in a timeframe that matches their ambition.”
The programme requires commitment from both learners and employers:
• Attendance at one face-to-face training day each month (eight in total).
• Two hours of study time per week, supported by the employer.
• A shared commitment to complete the accelerated 10-month journey.
Early adopters of the scheme have praised its efficiency and ability to quickly upskill staff, with employers noting faster returns on their investment in training as a positive of the scheme.
As the UK’s only specialist insurance training provider with a dedicated academy model, Wiser Academy believes this Fast-Track programme will set a new benchmark for professional development in the insurance sector.
